VISEN Pharmaceuticals and Shanghai Pharma Sign Enhanced Strategic Partnership at CIIE for Commercialization of Lonapegsomatropin in China

November 6, 2024, Shanghai, China—VISEN Pharmaceuticals and Shanghai Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Shanghai Pharma”) signed an upgraded cooperation agreement at the 7th China International Import Expo. VISEN has designated Shanghai Pharma’s innovative drug full-lifecycle service platform, Shanghai Pharma International Supply Chain Co., Ltd., as the exclusive import distributor for Lonapegsomatropin Injection and its accompanying dedicated auto-injector in mainland China.

As VISEN’s first commercialized product, long-acting somatropin (lonapegsomatropin) has demonstrated in its Phase 3 clinical trials in China that it is the only long-acting growth hormone to date showing superior efficacy over daily growth hormone formulations. Currently, the marketing authorization application for long-acting somatropin (lonapegsomatropin) in China has been accepted by the National Medical Products Administration.
