Recently, Guanxin Lab officially completed the acquisition of the high-end psychological healthcare institution Shanghai Tongchuang Future (Healthy Growth), which will be renamed “Guanxin Tongchuang.”

Guanxin Tongchuang (Shanghai) Day Center will hold its grand reopening on November 23. The relaunched “Guanxin Tongchuang” will continue to leverage its medical expertise to provide professional, high-quality psychological diagnosis and treatment services, as well as unique Day Care services, for children and adolescents. It will also deeply integrate with the online and offline operations and expert resources of Guanxin Laboratory, delivering more diverse and premium services to users.

Healthy Growth, established in September 2023, is a professional medical institution co-founded by leading psychiatrists and overseas-educated psychologists. Day Care Center is the flagship program of Guanxin Tongchuang and the first medical institution in China to adopt a simulated school environment for centralized psychotherapy.

Day Care CenterThe Day Care Center is staffed with multiple psychotherapists and rehabilitation therapists, and has pioneered a centralized psychotherapy model in a simulated school-like environment. It operates daily from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM. The daily schedule includes a 45-minute morning awakening activity, followed by alternating 90-minute and 45-minute group psychotherapy sessions incorporating modalities such as mindfulness, drama, music, horticulture, and baking. The day concludes with a 45-minute exercise therapy session. Throughout this period, physicians continuously monitor patients to make more precise medication adjustments and optimize treatment plans based on each child’s condition.

In recent years, the issue of school suspensions among adolescents due to depression has become increasingly severe. According to the "2022 National Depression Blue Book," the number of depressed individuals under the age of 18 in China has reached 28.5 million, with 50% being students. Many adolescents suspend their schooling due to a lack of motivation and social support, leaving them effectively "with nowhere to go."

Day Care’s day center, which simulates a school environment, timely fills this gap. This psychotherapeutic model allows children with emotional disturbances to engage in daily learning and social activities in a school-like setting, while ensuring they have a safe and supportive therapeutic environment. Professor Du Yasong, a renowned expert in child and adolescent psychiatry and psychology in China and former Director of the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Shanghai Mental Health Center, will serve as the Chief Medical Officer of Guanxin Clinic’s Internet Hospital. Professor Zhu Binggen, a doctoral supervisor in Psychiatry and Mental Health at Tongji University School of Medicine, will serve as the Medical Director of Guanxin Clinic’s Internet Hospital. With his in-depth research in psychopharmacology, Professor Zhu will further enhance Guanxin’s professional capabilities in medication reduction and discontinuation following non-pharmacological psychotherapy. Zhang Lujia, a registered psychological supervisor with the Chinese Psychological Society and a psychotherapist certified by the National Health Commission, will serve as the Chief Therapist of Guanxin Clinic’s Internet Hospital, introducing more advanced diagnostic and therapeutic methods from abroad to China.

Meanwhile, Han Bing, Vice President of Teaching and Research at Guanxin Laboratory, has served overseas public hospitals and domestic Grade A tertiary specialized hospitals for 13 years. With experience in academic and professional pursuits in Australia and the United States, she now boasts 20 years of expertise in psychotherapy and counseling for adults and adolescents. On the opening day of November 23, Ms. Han will join other experts in hosting a variety of engaging on-site activities.
