Venture Capital Firms
Recently, Fourier announced the completion of a new round of financing, with the total amount of Series E funding reaching nearly RMB 800 million. This round was jointly participated by institutions including Shanghai Guoxin Investment And Development Co.,Ltd., Shanghai Pudong Venture Investment Co., Ltd., Zhangjiang Sci-Tech Investment, Zhangke Yaokun Fund, Prosperity7, and PEAKVEST, injecting strong momentum into Fourier’s continuous innovation in the robotics field. This also marks a further upgrade of Fourier’s strategic layout, demonstrating once again the confidence and support of the capital market in Fourier’s sustained growth.
“The completion of this funding round has further strengthened our resolve to achieve the product goal of ‘building the best embodied agent for AI,’ and marks a significant step toward realizing our vision of ‘empowering human life with robotics technology,’” said Gu Jie, Founder and CEO of Fourier.
In 2024, Fourier launched the GR-2, the second-generation humanoid robot in its GRx series, leveraging extensive product deployment experience and real-world data feedback. Featuring an optimized full-body structural design, a newly developed 12-degree-of-freedom dexterous hand, and the second-generation Force Sensing Actuator (FSA 2.0), the GR-2 delivers a more flexible, powerful, and open user experience for AI ecosystem users and developers.
As the first guided consultation application solution pioneered by Fourier, this offering integrates customer needs and market feedback to provide commercial clients with a comprehensive, standardized technical solution. Leveraging its highly bionic design, smooth human-machine interaction, and stable, secure motion control capabilities, the GRx series of humanoid robots supports process-oriented customization and multilingual communication. This empowers commercial clients to enhance service efficiency and end-user experience, thereby achieving differentiated marketing. Currently, this solution has been widely deployed for dozens of commercial clients across various scenarios, including banks, 4S dealerships, large-scale international conferences, and public tourist attractions.
Fourier Vice President Zhou Bin stated, “We will continue to adhere to the product development philosophy of ‘responding to scenarios and responding to customers,’ starting from actual needs to ensure that humanoid robots not only achieve technological breakthroughs but are also genuinely applied across various industries at an early stage.”
Fourier’s GRx series of humanoid robots currently includes two models, the GR-1 and GR-2, covering application scenarios such as guided tours and consultation, academic research, and medical rehabilitation. With the long-term mission of “Born for AI” across its entire product line, the GRx series pioneers the “Product Hexagon” standard for humanoid robots—defining capability benchmarks and development directions for the robot body across six dimensions: motion intelligence, dexterous manipulation, cognitive intelligence, bionic design, user experience, and commercial applications.
Fourier will continue to advance the development of humanoid robots, centering on the “human-centric” design philosophy and the “GRx Hexagon” technical framework to create more flexible, open, and intelligent products, thereby promoting the commercial deployment of robotic technologies in a wider range of application scenarios.
