JD Health Hosts 2025 Annual Doctor Summit in Beijing: Over 180 Million Consultations and 98.4% Patient Satisfaction

On January 11, the JD Health 2025 Annual Doctor Gala was held in Beijing. At the event, JD Health comprehensively showcased its achievements in service innovation, technological advancement, quality standards, and hospital co-construction within the internet healthcare sector. Building on its pioneering integration of the “consultation–testing–diagnosis–pharmacy” service loop, JD Health has further expanded the boundaries of medical services and unveiled its “AI Jingyi” large language model product suite for the first time. This initiative aims to provide users with a more convenient and professional healthcare experience while enabling physicians to practice online with greater efficiency and confidence. JD Health continues to solidify its leading position as the primary entry point for internet-based medical services.

Over the past year, JD Internet Hospital served over 180 million patients, with patient satisfaction continuously improving to reach 98.4%. Fan Hui, Vice President of JD Group and General Manager of the Internet Medical Business Department at JD Health, stated that in 2024, JD Internet Hospital continued to expand the boundaries of medical services. It not only pioneered the integration of a closed-loop service model encompassing online consultations, home-based testing, physician diagnosis, and medication delivery (“medical consultation, testing, diagnosis, and pharmaceuticals”), but also promoted the iterative upgrading of multiple services, including specialist consultations and video outpatient visits. These efforts have provided more users with professional, convenient, and trustworthy healthcare services, while also enriching the tools available for physicians’ online practice.

At the conference, Dr. Tian Jiawei, a pulmonologist from Jiangyin People’s Hospital in Jiangsu Province, shared how he leveraged the “Lab Test Report” feature of JD Internet Hospital to help multiple patients with limited mobility quickly identify the causes of their respiratory conditions and receive timely medication during peak seasons for respiratory diseases, all without leaving their homes. This approach successfully established a closed-loop medical service barrier encompassing “consultation, testing, diagnosis, and medication.” Notably, JD Internet Hospital recently launched imaging examination services. Users can now use their examination order forms to quickly book appointments for 65 types of imaging examinations at partner facilities in seven cities, including Beijing, Zhengzhou, Shenyang, Wenzhou, Changchun, Xiangtan, and Ningde.

In addition to innovating and expanding its medical service capabilities, JD Health is also continuously deepening the development of specialized internet healthcare disciplines, including dermatology, psychological services, and traditional Chinese medicine. By leveraging its pharmaceutical supply chain advantages, it makes more professional pharmaceutical health products and services readily accessible. At the conference, Dr. Wang Shangshang, a dermatologist from Huashan Hospital Affiliated to Fudan University, shared how a new prescription medication for psoriasis was issued via the JD Internet Hospital. This enabled users to enjoy a one-stop experience encompassing online follow-up consultations, prescription issuance, medication ordering, and home delivery, significantly improving the accessibility and convenience of treatment for psoriasis patients.

Over the past year, JD Health has adhered to a "physician-centric" approach, continuously advancing technology and innovation to enhance the efficiency of physicians' online practice. Currently, leveraging its self-developed "Jingyi Qianxun" medical large language model as the technological foundation, JD Health has created a series of industry-leading health-focused large model applications. These applications are capable of learning and simulating the competencies of various healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, pharmacists, dietitians, and psychological counselors. By integrating innovative interaction methods such as digital humans, these solutions provide AI-assisted or direct services in scenarios such as health consultations, health product guidance, health education, and health management, thereby improving the efficiency and experience of healthcare services.

At the gala, JD Health’s “AI Jingyi” product suite, built on its large healthcare model, made its public debut for the first time. The suite includes products such as the AI Diagnostic Assistant, AI Doctor Agent, and AI Research Assistant. Among these, the AI Diagnostic Assistant is designed for physicians’ online practice scenarios, providing auxiliary tools across the entire workflow—pre-consultation, during consultation, and post-consultation. It delivers personalized diagnostic and treatment decision support, while also assisting with low-risk tasks such as medical history collection, medical record documentation, and patient management. Currently, JD Health’s AI Diagnostic Assistant 2.0 has become the most widely used intelligent clinical decision support platform among physicians.

While enhancing physicians’ diagnostic and treatment efficiency, JD Health has officially launched the internal beta testing of its AI Physician Agent. Built upon a customized “digital twin” tailored for each physician, the agent not only deeply learns the physician’s professional knowledge, clinical reasoning, and communication style, but also provides 24/7 responses to patient inquiries, ensuring patients can access medical guidance anytime and anywhere. When further consultation is needed, the AI Physician Agent can schedule appointments with the physician, reserve specific time slots, and compile prior conversations into structured documents to facilitate clinical reference. In the post-consultation phase, the digital physician offers comprehensive post-care services, including disease education, care pathway management, medication reminders, rehabilitation guidance, and nutritional planning.

Beyond clinical practice, physicians also face substantial research pressures. To address this, JD Health has launched its AI Research Assistant for the first time. By incorporating over ten million authentic professional documents from both domestic and international sources, the tool provides AI-powered research support, including literature review, statistical analysis, and manuscript polishing. All features are offered free of charge to physicians, maximizing the release of high-quality medical productivity.

At the ceremony, the JD Health Expert Committee was officially established. The inaugural members comprise top-tier experts from various medical disciplines across China. Through in-depth interdisciplinary collaboration and extensive exchange, the committee aims to further optimize the allocation of healthcare resources, enhance the quality of internet-based medical services, and jointly shape a new ecosystem for the healthcare industry.

At the ceremony, JD Health also presented prestigious awards including the “Best Partner Award,” “Innovation Exploration Award,” “Most Trusted by Patients Award,” and “JD Good Doctor Award,” to honor their outstanding contributions in collaboration with JD Internet Hospital over the past year. Nearly 200 doctors and partner institutions from across China were honored.
