In August 2023, the Shenzhen Municipal Health Commission issued the “Notice on Launching the Fourth Round of Centralized Bulk Procurement of Municipal Medical Equipment,” bringing eight categories of medical equipment under the scope of centralized procurement and further advancing the reform of bulk centralized procurement of medical equipment in the city.
Device Category | Participating Units in Centralized Procurement |
MRI (MRI)、CT, ultrasound, ventilator, anesthesia machine, monitor,Endoscope, Gastrointestinal Endoscopy | Municipal Health Care Office, Shenzhen People’s Hospital, Shenzhen Second People’s Hospital, Peking University Shenzhen Hospital, Shenzhen Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital, Shenzhen Third People’s Hospital, Shenzhen Maternity and Child Healthcare Hospital, Fuwai Hospital Shenzhen, Shenzhen Children’s Hospital, Shenzhen Kangning Hospital, Shenzhen Eye Hospital, The University of Hong Kong-Shenzhen Hospital, Southern Medical University Shenzhen Hospital, Cancer Hospital Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences Shenzhen Hospital, The Seventh Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, Shenzhen Samii Medical Center, Shenzhen Stomatological Hospital, Southern Medical University Shenzhen Stomatological Hospital, Shenzhen Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Shenzhen Emergency Medical Center, Shenzhen Prevention and Treatment Center for Occupational Diseases, Shenzhen Center for Chronic Disease Control, Shenzhen Blood Center |
It is worth noting that all the aforementioned equipment categories, regardless of their monetary value or funding sources (including self-procured projects valued under RMB 1 million), are included in the scope of this round of bulk procurement.
Bulk centralized procurement of medical equipment is subdivided into packages based on the principles of similar clinical needs, comparable functional requirements, and close budgetary unit prices. Among these, the endoscopy category is divided into multiple packages, including 4K laparoscopic systems and 4K fluorescence (3D) laparoscopic systems. In November 2024, the Shenzhen Municipal Health Commission, in conjunction with the Shenzhen Public Resources Trading Center, completed the bulk centralized procurement bidding for endoscopic equipment and publicly announced the transaction results on its official website.

Against the backdrop of rising demand for functional endoscopy in healthcare institutions, the domestic brand DPM stood out in the tender for 4K fluorescence (3D) laparoscopic systems. Its flagship product, the fluorescence endoscopic camera system, emerged as the top-ranked winning bid among similar devices, securing a leading position in this round of bulk centralized procurement.
Notably, in November 2024, the solicitation of public comments on government procurement for the 37th Zhejiang International Exhibition of Scientific Research and Medical Equipment and Technology (hereinafter referred to as the Zhejiang Medical Exhibition) was launched, and the Organizing Committee of the Zhejiang Medical Exhibition organized the government procurement bidding process for the 2025 Zhejiang Medical Exhibition.
The centralized procurement at the Zhejiang Medical Equipment Exhibition covered five major categories of medical devices: general equipment, endoscopy, radiology, sterilization for operating and supply rooms, and traditional Chinese medicine rehabilitation. Notably, the shortlisting results for the endoscopy category were published on the Zhejiang Government Procurement Network in January 2025. DPM’s white-light laparoscopes and fluorescence laparoscopes were included in the centralized procurement catalog (Bid Lot Numbers: ZJ-2433674-02/04, ZJ-2433674-02/05), once again seizing the initiative in the wave of medical device centralized procurement reforms.
It is reported that DPM has established a comprehensive product portfolio of optical molecular imaging surgical navigation systems with independent intellectual property rights. This portfolio includes the world’s first optical 3D fluorescence endoscopic imaging device approved for market launch in 2022, which is also the first such device to receive U.S. FDA clearance. Furthermore, DPM recently launched X-nova, a new functional endoscopic product. X-nova is a platform-based endoscopic camera system that integrates high-end features such as 3D, 4K, and fluorescence imaging. These significant advancements fully demonstrate DPM’s leading position among domestic endoscope brands, firmly placing it in the industry’s first tier.
As clinical demand for functional combinations of endoscopic equipment continues to rise, the platform-based design of endoscopic camera systems has become an inevitable trend. Platform-based endoscopic devices can support multiple functional combinations, including 3D, 4K, and fluorescence imaging, are compatible with various camera heads, facilitate efficient switching between consecutive surgeries, and reduce the procurement, management, and maintenance costs of endoscopic equipment.
In December 2024, the X-nova platform endoscopic camera system, independently developed by DPM, passed the review of the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) and was officially granted a medical device registration certificate.
The launch of the X-nova endoscopic platform demonstrates DPM’s product positioning alongside international giants. Following its top-tier inclusion in Shenzhen’s centralized procurement list for laparoscopes, DPM has continuously innovated its endoscopic product portfolio, gradually establishing itself as a benchmark brand among domestically produced endoscopic systems.
