Recently, Suzhou Guoke Kangcheng Medical Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Guoke Kangcheng”), a neuroscience enterprise based in Suzhou High-Tech Zone, announced the completion of its Series A financing round. The round was led by the Fund of Funds of the Suzhou Institute of Biomedical Engineering and Technology, with participation from Suzhou Meideke No. 2 Venture Capital Partnership (Limited Partnership), an affiliate of Medpark. The proceeds will be primarily used to accelerate the research and development and commercialization of the company’s neuroscience products, as well as to expand its team.

Previously, Guoke Kangcheng completed its angel round of financing in 2021 and its Pre-A round in June 2023. The company’s consecutive success in securing investment demonstrates that its technological capabilities and market potential in the field of AI-driven healthcare have been highly recognized by the capital market.

As a high-tech enterprise incubated by the Suzhou Institute of Biomedical Engineering and Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Guoke Kangcheng specializes in the input, cleaning, annotation, and computation of AI medical imaging data to develop big data models and achieve iterative optimization. Building on this foundation, the company has expanded into the field of brain science and achieved significant results.

Diverse Products Build a Robust Foundation for Imaging Algorithms

Guoke Kangcheng currently operates eight product lines, covering full-scenario applications in imaging diagnosis, surgical planning, navigation, and postoperative regulation and management. These include Kangcheng Ruishu, Kangcheng Ruiying, Kangcheng Ruinao M, Kangcheng Ruishi, Kangcheng Ruinao E, Kangcheng Ruihang, Kangcheng Ruizhi, and Kangcheng Zhiyi. The company has established a presence in key cities across China, built a comprehensive online and offline sales network, and achieved nationwide product distribution and market coverage. Its solutions are deployed in over 30 Grade A tertiary hospitals and serve more than 1,260 healthcare institutions.

Among them, Kangcheng Ruishi®The Class II certification for the AI-based 3D modeling system for medical imaging was approved in 2022, Kangcheng Zhiyi®Smart Health Management System Has Entered Mass Production, Kangcheng Ruihang®The surgical planning navigation system passed the Class III medical device registration inspection in 2023.

Kangcheng Rui Brain M®Neuroimaging Processing System, Kangcheng Ruinao E®3D Modeling System for Neurological Lesions such as Epilepsy, Kangcheng Ruizhi® Brain-Computer Interface Encoding and Decoding System (from left to right)

Kangchengrui Brain M®Neuroimaging Processing System: It performs preprocessing of medical brain images, clearly extracting brain imagery, while also enabling detailed segmentation of brain tissues, reconstruction of the cerebral cortex, and parcellation of distinct brain regions. Furthermore, it conducts quantitative analysis of morphological features and investigates brain network structures, thereby assisting physicians in making more accurate diagnoses. For instance, by analyzing changes in morphological characteristics, clinicians can detect early signs of potential neurological disorders.

Kangcheng Rui Brain E®3D Modeling System for Neurological Lesions such as Epilepsy: This system integrates electroencephalogram (EEG) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technologies. By leveraging deep learning techniques to "interpret" this data, the system precisely localizes neurological lesions and identifies pathological regions, providing a critical basis for formulating personalized treatment plans.

Kangcheng Ruizhi®Brain-Computer Encoding and Decoding System: This system supports high-precision intelligent brain-computer interfaces based on MR-EEG/MEG. It not only assesses brain states but also facilitates brain health training. For post-neurosurgical patients, it provides brain-computer modulation and management to aid recovery and improve quality of life.

Financing Empowers the Launch of a New Development Model and a New Chapter in Operations

This round of financing will empower the company to build a product R&D and market operation model characterized by “high technological barriers + a large consumer market.”

Looking ahead, Suzhou Guoke Kangcheng Medical Technology Co., Ltd. will continue to uphold its commitment to technological innovation and delve deeper into the mysteries of the brain. On one hand, the company will continuously optimize existing technologies to enhance the precision of diagnosis and treatment for various brain disorders, aiming for breakthroughs in early diagnosis so that more patients can detect and treat cerebral conditions in a timely manner. On the other hand, it will actively expand the application of brain science in fields such as rehabilitation therapy and mental health, developing more innovative products that benefit patients.
