Leveraging this platform, they sincerely invite experts, scholars, and industry leaders from China’s top clinical research centers, scientific research institutes, and leading innovative enterprises to engage in close dialogue and exchange with Chinese scientific and innovation communities, exploring opportunities for comprehensive collaboration.

As one of AstraZeneca’s five global strategic R&D centers, the AstraZeneca Global R&D China Center plays a pivotal role in accelerating and leading global new drug development, as well as connecting and integrating Chinese innovation. It has become an innovation engine for AstraZeneca’s global R&D efforts. Since 2022, the China R&D team has themed its activities around “Science Benefits All, Innovation Drives R&D,” dedicating itself to establishing the AstraZeneca China R&D Day. This event has emerged as a key platform fostering collaboration between AstraZeneca’s global R&D and China’s pharmaceutical R&D ecosystem. Having been successfully held five times, the event was further structured starting in 2023 into two thematic tracks—oncology, chronic diseases, and rare diseases—with sessions conducted separately in the first and second halves of the year. This evolution fully demonstrates the recognition by a top-tier global pharmaceutical company of China’s scientific research capabilities and innovative strength.
