Suzhou Jiuxin Medical Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Jiuxin Medical") focuses on addressing key technical challenges in the field of dental implantology: achieving effective adhesive fixation and bone repair of human bone tissue within complex bodily fluid environments (specifically, blood). After years of dedicated research and development, the company’s scientific team achieved a major technological breakthrough in the laboratory based on biomimetic research into the secretions of marine sandcastle worms. They successfully developed a series of new biomedical materials capable of bonding bone tissue in complex liquid environments. This has resulted in a patent cluster driven by foundational technologies. The technology possesses independent intellectual property rights, breaks the technological monopoly and industry barriers imposed by overseas companies, and fills a clinical gap in the domestic field of bone adhesion.

Currently, Jiuxin Medical has completed the product commercialization process and established two core product portfolios: Jikejiao® for dental implantology, and Luhiejiao® for neurosurgery, maxillofacial surgery, and orthopedics.

Currently, traditional dental implant technology faces several major clinical pain points, including prolonged treatment cycles, high overall costs, and the inability to provide rapid implantation for patients with insufficient bone volume. Furthermore, traditional implant surgery involves multiple gingival incisions and bone augmentation procedures, resulting in significant patient discomfort. Consequently, there is an urgent demand across China’s dental implant sector for breakthrough innovative solutions. According to public data, annual dental implant consumption in China ranged from approximately 3.8 million to 4.4 million units in 2022. The market is projected to maintain a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of around 12%, with consumption expected to reach approximately 7 million units by 2028, thereby creating a substantial potential market.

Jiuxin Medical’s Jikejiao® Series Bone Tissue Adhesive precisely addresses multiple clinical pain points in oral implantology, alleviates physicians’ treatment burden, and shortens both the implantation timeline and patient discomfort. Clinical data from numerous large public tertiary hospitals indicate that the Jikejiao® Series enables a “one implant, one box” usage pattern in approximately 60% of dental implant patients. The product demonstrates high academic value and boasts clear market prospects.

Jiuxin Medical’s series of bone tissue adhesives has currently been submitted for the National Innovative Medical Device Special Review Channel and has completed the first expert review. Under the guidance of the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA), Jiuxin Medical is striving to achieve its medium- to long-term corporate development strategic goal of “maintaining domestic leadership and striving to be the first globally.”

During its startup phase, Jiuxin Medical assembled a team of PhDs in chemistry, materials science, and medicine to establish a robust research and development group dedicated to the development and commercialization of novel biomaterials for biomedical applications. Its technical leader, Wang Jian, who was named to the Zhongguancun U30 list at the age of 29, has long specialized in the field of tissue repair, possessing extensive expertise in various tissue repair materials and technologies. He is a core member of the National Key R&D Program and has been recognized as a Gusu Leading Talent, the highest talent honor in Suzhou.

Backed by robust R&D capabilities, Jiuxin Medical’s bone tissue adhesive product line has successfully undergone two upgrades. The third-generation product features an innovative packaging design that enables “liquid-powder separation, precise dosing, and in-tube mixing,” allowing the preparation of bone tissue adhesive to be completed in the operating room within one minute, with a preparation success rate exceeding 99%. Following its market launch, Jikejiao® Bone Tissue Adhesive helps implantologists complete the core implantation procedures within a single day, compressing the traditional implantation timeline of 9 months to 2 years down to just 3–5 months. Furthermore, it facilitates rapid dental implantation for patients who were previously unable to undergo quick implantation due to significant bone volume deficiency, thereby transforming “immediate implantation” from a theoretical concept presented in medical slides into clinical reality, demonstrating substantial academic value.

Notably, in addition to its Jikejiao® product line, which is compatible with 60% of mainstream dental implants, Jiuxin Medical also offers the Luehejiao® series of bone tissue adhesives. This product line is widely applicable for the adhesion, fixation, and repair of cranial bones in neurosurgery, craniofacial bones in maxillofacial surgery, and comminuted fracture sites in orthopedics. Luehejiao® effectively addresses the needs for cranial adhesion, fixation, and repair in neurosurgical trauma care; facilitates jawbone adhesion, fixation, and cavity filling in maxillofacial surgery; enables rapid fixation and efficient utilization of small bone fragments during orthopedic surgery for comminuted fractures; and provides efficient, rapid sealing of bone defects left after the removal of various human implants. Luehejiao® demonstrates significant application potential across neurosurgery, maxillofacial surgery, and orthopedic surgery.

In terms of industrialization, Jiuxin Medical has established a clear timeline for commercial deployment. Its first flagship product is expected to obtain the product registration certificate in early 2027. Following the application for national medical insurance billing codes and listing in the provincial sunshine procurement catalogs, sales revenue is projected to surge significantly in 2028, with an estimated annual sales volume exceeding RMB 100 million within three to five years.

In terms of product safety, Jiuxin Medical has established a comprehensive GMP quality management system to ensure the quality and efficacy of its products. With a mature production and supply chain system, the company achieves 100% in-house production of all raw materials. Currently, its Phase I GMP-certified facility, with a minimum production capacity of 100,000 units, is already in mass production, while the Phase II high-capacity plant is under planning. As of the press date, third-party testing reports and various experimental results for Jiuxin Medical’s bone tissue adhesive demonstrate that all parameters comply with national standards, indicating the product’s exceptionally high biosafety.

To expand its future growth potential, Jiuxin Medical is actively strategizing its second-generation product portfolio, having already identified four key products: a customized dental implant system based on 3D additive manufacturing technology, a customized non-degradable cranial reconstruction system based on 3D additive manufacturing technology, an extravascular adhesive sealant based on photosensitive composite materials, and a biofilm for the fixation and repair of medium-to-large visceral organs based on composite polymer materials. Currently, two of these products have completed the laboratory prototyping phase and are poised to initiate the technology transfer process to manufacturing facilities. Leveraging future fundraising efforts in the primary capital market, Jiuxin Medical plans to sequentially launch multiple high-value-added innovative medical devices focused on tissue adhesion and repair over the next decade.

As biomimetic technologies based on the secretions of marine sandcastle worms mature, we are witnessing the growth and advancement of domestic science and technology in advanced materials chemistry, synthetic biology, and tissue repair medicine. With the emergence of an increasing number of “bone tissue adhesives,” domestically developed innovative medical technologies and products are jointly establishing a complete integrated closed loop encompassing scientific research, industry, and commerce, characterized by “material innovation–surgical technique reconstruction–clinical pathway optimization.”

Advancements in domestically developed innovative medical technologies, coupled with the implementation of policies promoting domestic substitution for imports, will shield the Chinese people from exploitation by overseas medical conglomerates. By incurring only minimal treatment costs, patients can enjoy the technological dividends brought about by advanced domestic medical progress, thereby vividly demonstrating the institutional advantages of socialism with Chinese characteristics. As the registration process for its products advances, Jiuxin Medical will continue to deliver affordable, high-quality therapeutic benefits to the Chinese population.
