Shanghai Talengtong Optical Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Talengtong”) is a technology-driven enterprise rooted in the field of dental healthcare, specializing in the research and development of innovative solutions for oral diagnosis and treatment centered on fluorescence technology. Although the company is currently in its early startup stage, it has preliminarily established its own independent intellectual property system. Its self-developed core technology, the “Oral Thread-Structured Light Illumination System,” while still undergoing continuous refinement and innovation, provides an important reference pathway for the advancement of clinical dental practice through cutting-edge optical technologies.

From the perspective of industry pain points, current diagnosis of oral diseases faces two major technical bottlenecks: First, pathogenic microorganisms are invisible to the naked eye, forcing traditional probing to rely on indirect indicators such as color changes, which limits diagnostic accuracy. Second, the complex anatomical environment created by the multi-layered structure of dental tissues and occult lesions (such as microleakage and cracked teeth) significantly compromises the precision of lesion identification.
To address these industry pain points, Talentong has innovatively developed a coherent optical technology system based on 405 nm laser wavelengths. Distinct from traditional LED technologies, the “Oral Thread-Structured Light Illumination System” equips dentists with “X-ray vision” through a specific fluorescence chromogenic mechanism: under irradiation by laser light of a specific wavelength, pathological tissues (such as dental plaque and infected areas) exhibit orange-red fluorescence, while healthy hard dental tissues display bright yellow fluorescence, creating a significant color contrast. Coupled with its thread-structured light technology, the system can simultaneously acquire three-dimensional information of the tooth surface and subsurface structural features. Its deep penetration capability enables clinicians to precisely determine the extent and severity of lesions, providing a “keen eye” for clinical diagnosis.

From an engineering and technical perspective, the company has developed a dual-modal solution that combines high-precision laser light sources with beam-shaping lens systems, delivering both stable large-spot illumination and precise small-spot pen-like tools to fully meet the needs of diverse diagnostic and therapeutic scenarios. This multi-dimensional technological integration establishes a robust technical moat.
Notably, its innovation extends beyond diagnostics to achieve a closed-loop application across the entire diagnosis and treatment workflow. By leveraging fluorescence-guided surgical procedures, it significantly enhances clinicians’ visual perception during oral treatments, enabling dynamic monitoring of lesion boundaries throughout the procedure. This effectively improves the precision of surgeries such as periodontal debridement and resection of infected tissues, upgrading traditional experience-based practices to visualization-enabled precision therapy.

Currently, Talentong has accumulated extensive clinical experience in laser periodontal therapy, with numerous successful cases in areas such as loose tooth splinting. These practical cases not only confirm the reliability and practical value of its technical solutions but also provide a solid foundation of clinical data for product iteration and optimization.
Looking ahead, its products demonstrate significant application potential across multiple fields, including tooth restoration, dental implants, and surgical procedures. Talengtong is also actively expanding the boundaries of its product applications. The system’s modular design supports multi-dimensional integration with dental lights, photography systems, and 3D equipment, enabling the acquisition of clear images of fine structures on the tooth surface. This effectively addresses the technical limitations of traditional microscopic detection in recording traces of bacterial invasion and imaging dental microstructures.
Based on this, the company has proposed an innovative vision of "Tri-Light Integration"—constructing comprehensive solutions covering dental restoration, implant navigation, and microsurgery through multimodal fusion of X-ray optics, 405nm fluorescence optics, and conventional optics. In terms of clinical value, this technological system not only improves the accuracy of clinical diagnosis but also effectively enhances treatment efficiency, achieving time and labor savings while increasing treatment success rates.

This technological innovation acts as a “digital engine” for dental healthcare, driving the transition of oral diagnosis and treatment from empirical medicine to precision medicine, while providing a quantifiable and evaluable innovative paradigm for industry-wide technological upgrading. Currently, Talengtong is actively pursuing diverse strategic initiatives, including collaborative R&D in frontier technologies, regional market expansion, and brand building. Through continuous technological innovation and deep market cultivation, the company aims to deliver more innovative breakthroughs in dental diagnosis and treatment.
As dentistry transitions from an experience-based science to data-driven diagnosis and treatment, the fluorescence tracing technology system developed by Talengtong is addressing a pivotal question: How can invisible biological information and microstructures be transformed into quantifiable, visualizable bases for clinical decision-making? When 405 nm laser light penetrates tooth enamel and reconstructs the bio-optical mapping of diseased tissue at a submillimeter scale, we witness not only diagnostic innovations brought about by fluorescence imaging but also the potential for deep integration between optical technologies and life sciences.

The multimodal optical matrix it has constructed not only breaks through the resolution limits of existing microscopic imaging but also reveals a more profound industry need: Can the co-evolution of clinical data and optical algorithms give rise to a new coordinate system for precision dentistry? Perhaps the true transformation lies not in breakthroughs in individual technologies, but in how they reconstruct the cognitive interface among doctors, patients, and disease.
