Intelligent Health and Wellness Product R&D and Manufacturer
From April 8 to 11, 2025, the 91st China International Medical Equipment Fair (Spring) (“CMEF”) opened in Shanghai. As the largest and most influential medical device industry event in the Asia-Pacific region, the exhibition attracted nearly 5,000 companies from more than 30 countries and regions worldwide, showcasing tens of thousands of medical technology products.
Among the numerous booths, zdeer’s exhibition space stood out prominently. The booth walls featured a soft beige tone, interwoven with sleek lines and fine textures, creating a warm and serene atmosphere. Inside the showroom, ancient, vigorous branches emerged from the ground and stretched out freely, as if narrating the resilience and vitality of life. The architecturally striking archways, resembling natural formations, invited visitors to explore. The integration of these unique design elements made the showroom resemble an art gallery—reflecting one of zdeer’s distinctive qualities: the seamless fusion of technology and art.

Themed “Rooted in Strength, Thriving in Growth,” this spatial exhibition serves as a metaphor for zdeer’s approach to health: life requires not only downward grounding to regain vitality and nourishment but also continuous upward growth to sustain and revitalize healthy lifestyles. At this exhibition, zdeer unveiled its newly upgraded product lineup, featuring its latest core bestsellers such as the zdeer hearing aid and the new-generation zdeer blood pressure monitor, continuing to write its story of “being rooted in family health.”
1Strategically positioning the two major sectors of “Tech-Driven Healthcare” and “Healthy Living” to provide a robust “root system” support for family health
The theme “Rooted in the Foundation, Thriving in Growth” aligns closely with zdeer’s longstanding product philosophy, brand ethos, and concept of family health.
On the one hand, this aligns perfectly with zdeer’s corporate ethos of accumulating strength over time and seeking internal power. “Although zdeer appears to be a fashionable and youthful company, it has in fact alreadyWith a decade of deep expertise in the medical device industry, it has accumulated over 3,300 patents and secured more than 30 medical device registration certificates..” Wang Lijun, a partner at zdeer, explained that the company’s deep industry accumulation largely stems from these “invisible areas.” “Much like moso bamboo, which grows only a few centimeters above ground in its first few years while developing an extensive root system stretching tens of meters underground, once the roots are firmly established and have fully absorbed nutrients, the plant can shoot up dozens of meters in just a few weeks.”
On the other hand, this also embodies zdeer’s values in the field of family health. Committed to providing a robust “root” support for family well-being, zdeer shares the upward-growing spirit of trees, distilling health wisdom that heals and balances the body and mind through natural principles. By leveraging modern technology, zdeer delivers refined and personalized health services to every family member at different stages of life.
Currently, zdeer has formed two major product business segments: "Technology-Driven Healthcare" and "Healthy Living."
“Tech-Driven Healthcare” focuses primarily on home-based therapeutic care, dedicated to “addressing critical health challenges for a niche population,” namely disease treatment. By leveraging deep market insights and substantial R&D investment, it continuously refines its product portfolio of home health management solutions. Its offerings include hair growth devices, insomnia treatment devices, rhinitis treatment devices, hearing aids, blood pressure monitors, thermometers, and nebulizers, among other products.
“Healthy Living” is dedicated to addressing the “minor issues faced by the majority,” namely health maintenance and care. Leveraging the company’s profound accumulation of medical technology, it further provides proactive “nourishment” and “care” supplements to home health management solutions. Its product portfolio includes smart cupping devices, smart moxibustion devices, smart foot soaking barrels, and smart oral sprays.
At the exhibition, zdeer set up a themed display area focused on tech-driven healthcare and healthy living, featuring products such as hearing aids and blood pressure monitors. By empowering health with technology, zdeer comprehensively showcased its full-scale smart home health solution across all scenarios.
2Rooted in evidence-based medicine to treat diseases at their source; centered on user experience to make technology universally accessible.
The zdeer hearing aid series, unveiled at this CMEF exhibition, attracted many attendees to stop and take a closer look. Its design closely resembles that of Bluetooth earbuds. Wang Lijun, a partner at zdeer, explained that this aesthetic choice stems from the company’s insights into Chinese socio-cultural attitudes and the psychological concerns of individuals with hearing impairment. “We found that a significant portion of people, particularly the elderly, are reluctant to wear hearing aids due to the associated stigma, as it may feel like disclosing their physical impairments and age-related decline.” Consequently, zdeer has designed its hearing aids to appear more lifestyle-oriented and youthful.
“When most brands focus solely on the functional value of hearing aids, we believe that, while ensuring product quality, hearing aids should also deliver emotional value,” said Wang Lijun. Notably, zdeer’s hearing aids have already won the 2025 Red Dot Award.
In terms of product performance, zdeer’s ZuoDian series of hearing aids leverages customized chips and advanced algorithm technologies to provide a more comfortable listening experience for individuals with hearing impairment, restoring true sound clarity, speech intelligibility, and comfort. The device integrates numerous high-precision electronic components, and its research, development, and manufacturing processes span multiple disciplines, including chip algorithms, artificial intelligence, acoustics, ergonomics, and precision instrumentation, resulting in a high degree of interdisciplinary integration and significant technical barriers. Currently, in the field of hearing aid products, zdeer has obtained over 200 invention patents, and continuously iterate and optimize the product at both the hardware and software levels.
For a long time, imported hearing aids have been priced relatively high. The companies behind these products are predominantly typical B2B enterprises that do not engage directly with consumers, resulting in an imprecise understanding of the pain points faced by end-users. Furthermore, due to multi-layered distribution channels, most products are priced at tens of thousands of yuan or more, making them unaffordable for many ordinary Chinese citizens. According to Wang Lijun, the current international penetration rate for hearing aids stands at approximately 25%–30%, whereas in the Chinese market, it is only 5%. Therefore, in terms of pricing, zdeer leverages the advantages of a DTC brand by selling directly to consumers and capitalizing on China’s local supply chain strengths, enabling it to reduce prices to one-fifth of those charged by foreign brands.。
Furthermore, the degree of hearing loss at low, medium, and high frequencies varies among individuals with hearing impairment. Therefore, patients with hearing disorders must visit offline stores for professional fitting if they wish to use hearing aids. And zAs one of the first companies in China to achieve online hearing aid fitting, zdeer provides users with one-on-one remote services staffed by professional audiologists., its accuracy in detecting patients' hearing loss can reach the level of offline stores, helping patients avoid many troubles related to hearing aid fitting.
Currently, zdeer has achieved full end-to-end control over the design, R&D, production, and sales of its hearing aid product series. On Tmall, its products account for over 50% of sales in the hearing aid category, while on JD.com and Douyin, their market share exceeds 70%.
In addition, the zdeer blood pressure monitor, which attracted a large number of on-site users, has redefined blood pressure measurement with artificial intelligence technology, becoming the focal product of the on-site experience. According to Wang Lijun, the room for innovation in the basic theoretical research of blood pressure monitors is nearing saturation, with optimization efforts now primarily focused on upper-layer applications. zdeer has found that many elderly users often encounter measurement errors due to variations in cuff tightness, clothing thickness, and measurement posture.
To address this issue, the new zdeer blood pressure monitor adopts a medical-grade arm-cylinder design, eliminating the impact of the aforementioned factors on measurement accuracy and enabling “simply extend your arm for one-touch measurement.” The device integrates 360° dynamic data acquisition technology with intelligent control via a Bluetooth-enabled mini-program, allowing users to operate the device for blood pressure monitoring. After measurement, data can be shared and viewed remotely, facilitating continuous health monitoring. This innovative design is highly significant, as it enables children to remotely access their parents’ blood pressure readings through the mini-program and encourage regular monitoring, thereby staying informed about their family members’ health status even when not physically present.

Exhibition Attendees Experience the zdeer Blood Pressure Monitor
In addition to zdeer’s hearing aids and blood pressure monitors, the exhibition hall showcased a range of health products that integrate technology and innovation, covering multiple sectors such as intelligent health monitoring, home-based physiotherapy, and wellness care.
Taking zdeer’s insomnia treatment device as an example, Wang Lijun introduced that while products and solutions addressing sleep issues are continually emerging within the industry, most focus on sleep aid. In contrast, zdeer concentrates on the “treatment” of insomnia. The device utilizes Cranial Electrotherapy Stimulation (CES) technology to deliver specific microcurrents that stimulate the brain, regulate neurotransmitters, and address insomnia at its root cause. Additionally, zdeer’s hair growth device has gained recommendations from numerous internationally authoritative journals and relevant guidelines, demonstrating outstanding performance in the two core dimensions of safety and efficacy. According to Wang Lijun, zdeer has consistently adhered to evidence-based medicine in its product research and development, ensuring the provision of truly safe and effective solutions for users.
3Build a product-platform enterprise to create end-to-end solutions spanning prevention to treatment.
Currently, zdeer has established dual R&D centers in Wuhan and Shenzhen. Its end-to-end R&D system encompasses raw material procurement, research and design, manufacturing, supply chain management, product marketing, and customer service, ensuring that each product combines aesthetic design, scientific rigor, and a superior user experience.
Centered on technological medicine and focused on home healthcare, zdeer addresses therapeutic needs through its technological medical solutions, while its healthy living offerings cover wellness and preventive care scenarios. This dual-drive strategy creates a comprehensive solution spanning the entire continuum from prevention to treatment. Furthermore, targeting key issues in home settings such as insomnia, hearing impairment, and chronic diseases, zdeer has launched a multi-scenario product portfolio catering to children, adults, and the elderly, ensuring comprehensive, all-around health management.
“A major distinction between medical products and other general consumer goods is that medical products target niche, minority populations, making it difficult to develop super-large product categories. Therefore, to achieve sustained growth, a company must evolve into a product-platform enterprise with a multi-category layout,” stated Wang Lijun. He added that in the future, zdeer will undoubtedly become a platform-based brand company. Throughout its transition toward a product-platform strategy, zdeer has consistently adhered to a core philosophy: committing to addressing more public health issues and creating greater social value.
Wang Lijun emphasized that zdeer has always placed great importance on continuous innovation and iteration in user experience, fostering close connections with consumers. “Meanwhile, we have been committed to making technology accessible to all. In our view, products such as hearing aids and blood pressure monitors are essential livelihood items; therefore, we should strive to control their costs and prices, enabling more people to access advanced medical technologies and developing products that are affordable and usable for everyone.”
As a representative of domestic medical technology brands, zdeer is currently further exploring and deepening the integration of “technology + healthcare + consumerism,” while venturing into cutting-edge fields such as AI health assistants and telemedicine. In the future, zdeer aims to collaborate with industry partners, guided by user needs and driven by technological innovation, to jointly build a new ecosystem for the home healthcare industry.
