Prevalence of Chronic Diseases and Obesity Rates Increase Year by Year

The State Encourages AI to Empower Medical Services

Currently, China’s healthcare system faces significant challenges, with rising prevalence rates of chronic diseases and obesity showing a year-on-year upward trend. The traditional “labor-intensive” management model can no longer meet the growing demands for healthcare management. The Outline of the Healthy China 2030 Plan explicitly states that technological innovation is the core engine of the health industry. In 2024, the National Health Commission, in conjunction with 16 other ministries and commissions, released the Implementation Plan for the “Year of Weight Management” campaign, emphasizing the promotion of artificial intelligence (AI) applications in weight management. The Implementation Plan for the Healthy China Action—Diabetes Prevention and Control Action (2024–2030) also proposes fully leveraging information technologies such as AI to enrich diabetes health management methods. Against this backdrop, the “Three-Provider Co-Management” AI large language model has emerged, offering a novel solution for chronic disease management.

AI Large Model for Co-Management by Three Specialists

Precision, Personalization, Efficiency

Guangzhou Nandafei Medical and Health Technology Co., Ltd. has been deeply engaged in the fields of weight management and chronic disease management for over a decade. Initially, Nandafei adopted a multidisciplinary team approach to deliver weight management services, assembling a team of professionals including physicians, dietitians, and exercise instructors to establish a “tri-disciplinary collaborative management” model. During this process, relevant studies demonstrated the superiority of companion-style lifestyle interventions and the favorable outcomes of non-pharmacological interventions combining diverse dietary structures. These scientific achievements were published in SCI journals with impact factors above 11, and two expert consensus statements were issued: the Expert Consensus on Medical Weight Management for Overweight and Obesity in Children and Adolescents and the Expert Consensus on Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Diagnosis and Treatment for Remission of Diabesity.

However, services based on traditional manual models face numerous challenges: first, the training cycle for professional talent is long, and cultivating interdisciplinary expertise is difficult; second, the number of patients that can be served through purely manual efforts is limited, leading to a decline in service quality and an inability to provide 24/7 coverage; third, even with standardized operating procedures (SOPs) in place, services remain highly variable across individuals, while heavily taxing staff capabilities and energy, thereby easily leading to service fatigue.

To address these challenges, Guangzhou Nandafei Medical and Health Technology Co., Ltd. has independently developed a “Three-Provider Collaborative Management” AI large language model. This model deeply integrates millions of patient management records for obesity and chronic diseases, authoritative expert consensus statements, cutting-edge research findings, and proprietary datasets. By combining self-developed models with open-source alternatives, and integrating the professional expertise of hundreds of physicians, dietitians, and exercise specialists with AI technology, the company has constructed specialized datasets and knowledge bases tailored to specific disease areas. This approach effectively mitigates the hallucinations and inaccuracies common in general-purpose large language models, optimizes overall application performance, and enhances service efficiency and standardization.

Weight Loss and Metabolic & Chronic Disease Management AI AgentBy analyzing individual health data, the Weight Loss and Metabolic & Chronic Disease Management AI Agent provides customized health management solutions for each user, truly achieving personalized interventions tailored to individual needs (“one strategy per person”). This model not only breaks down intervention plans into daily tasks but also deploys dedicated AI assistants for different user groups. Through intelligent reminders and health education, these assistants help patients adhere more effectively to their intervention plans. Furthermore, by leveraging advanced image, speech, and text recognition technologies, the system analyzes dietary habits, interprets medical reports, and offers analysis and recommendations on key health indicators, thereby enhancing user interaction and experience. Integrated with intelligent monitoring systems, the large language model can sensitively detect subtle changes in health status and issue immediate alerts, ensuring that health issues receive timely attention and management. Meanwhile, through regular follow-ups and real-time Q&A, the system provides patients with continuous health support and professional consultation.

The AI Agent for Weight Loss, Metabolism, and Chronic Disease Management can transform individual health information into a continuously optimized big data health model. This not only enhances the quality, efficiency, and accessibility of chronic disease management but also makes the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment management of chronic diseases more intelligent, personalized, and efficient. The Nandafei "Three-Physician Co-Management" AI Agent has been widely deployed in both in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings, as well as at Meinian Onehealth examination centers. With over 100,000 users to date, it is projected to become the first AI agent to surpass one million users in 2025.

Guangzhou Nandafei Medical and Health Technology Co., Ltd. has been recognized as a High-Tech Enterprise for two consecutive times and ranked among the Top 50 Enterprises in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area for five consecutive years. In 2024, the company jointly secured a directed project under the National Major Science and Technology Special Project with the Guangzhou Center for Disease Control and Prevention. It participated in the project "Construction and Demonstration Application of Collaborative Innovation Models for Joint Prevention and Control of Major Chronic Diseases from the Perspective of Proactive Health," specifically contributing to the sub-project led by Zhujiang Hospital of Southern Medical University titled "Construction and Demonstration Application of Smart Healthcare-Enabled Joint Precision Intervention and Long-term Comorbidity Management Models for Major Chronic Diseases." Additionally, it was selected as an outstanding case study in weight management by the National Center for Chronic and Noncommunicable Disease Control and Prevention of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention in 2024.After ten years of refinement and accumulation, the company has successfully helped over 35,000 users achieve weight loss goals, delivering impressive results: an average weight reduction of 4.2 kg in 4 weeks, 7.4 kg in 8 weeks, and 11.12 kg in 12 weeks. The company has established close collaborations with Meinian Onehealth’s health examination centers in 20 cities across China, supporting the establishment of Weight Loss and Metabolic Centers. Furthermore, empowered by large language models, the company has achieved full AI-driven lightweight management and increased service capacity by 4–5 times in professional therapeutic management.
