Non-invasive Neuroelectric Modulation Device Developer
It is hard for the average person to imagine that, for certain groups, being able to control their hands to perform simple actions such as picking up a cup or scooping food into their mouth represents a significant challenge.
According to the "Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Primary Tremor in China (2020)," the prevalence of essential tremor in the general population is approximately 0.9%, while it reaches 4.6% among individuals aged 65 and older in China. Patients with tremor face significant challenges in their daily lives; although conventional treatments offer some benefit, patients often find themselves trapped in a therapeutic dilemma characterized by substantial medication side effects and high surgical risks.

Recently, the Yiyounuo® Wearable Low-Frequency Therapeutic Device, independently developed by Beijing Eke Medical Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Eke Medical”), has officially received market approval (Medical Device Registration Certificate No.: Gui Xie Zhu Zhun 20252090129). As the first non-invasive wearable medical device in China to target the thalamic central motor circuit via peripheral nerve stimulation, its approval marks a significant technological breakthrough in the field of neuromodulation in China, providing a new treatment option for patients with tremor.

1Domestically Developed Non-Invasive Neuromodulation Medical Devices, Better Suited to the Physiological Structure of Asians
Yiyou Nuo® Wearable Low-Frequency Therapy Device delivers neuromodulation therapy via electrodes embedded in a wristband, utilizing Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS). This innovative treatment integrates neuroscience with wearable technology. Rather than directly invading the central nervous system, the therapy targets the median and radial nerves through wrist electrodes, transmitting patterned signals to the central nervous system to stimulate the ventral intermediate nucleus of the thalamus.
Currently, wearable devices for the non-invasive treatment of hand tremors in patients with essential tremor (ET) and Parkinson’s disease (PD) are developed by U.S. companies, making them expensive and difficult to obtain in China. Yiouno®As a domestically developed non-invasive neuromodulation medical device, it not only better meets the needs of Chinese patients but also possesses multiple core advantages derived from independent research and development:

From the perspective of product therapy, foreign products are primarily developed based on data from Western populations, resulting in certain limitations in their adaptability and therapeutic response among Chinese patient groups. Taking into account potential differences across ethnicities in neuroanatomical structures, physiological functions, and disease pathology characteristics, Eke Medical has undertaken systematic optimization and innovative design by integrating the neurological distribution patterns, limb biomechanical features, and clinical treatment needs specific to Asian populations. Leveraging personalized engineering design principles, the company has developed YiYouNuo®Wearable Low-Frequency Therapeutic Device. This device employs TENS therapy to effectively intervene in the upper limb nervous system of patients with ET and PD.
On the device electrodes, Eunovo®Utilizing proprietary gel electrode technology, which is widely adopted in the medical field. Compared to dry electrodes, gel electrodes offer superior interference resistance, providing a more stable stimulation current. Meanwhile, gel electrodes reduce skin impedance; under the same stimulation mode, they require lower current intensity while achieving better therapeutic outcomes. The entire treatment process is safer, more stable, and delivers long-lasting effects.
From the perspective of treatment regimens, Younuo®By employing a proprietary tremor monitoring method, user tremor data can be acquired and analyzed using specialized algorithms. Based on this data, targeted stimulation is delivered to provide patients with more precise and personalized treatment plans, thereby facilitating recovery in individuals with upper limb neurological impairments. Currently, patents have been filed for this therapeutic approach.
2A Clinical Randomized Controlled Trial: Improvement Rate Exceeding 38.2% with Single-Use Treatment
A clinical randomized controlled trial enrolled 50 patients diagnosed with essential tremor or Parkinson’s disease, presenting with upper limb tremors (aged ≥18 and <75 years). Participants were randomly assigned to either the experimental group (treated with YiYouNuo® for 40 minutes, n=25) or the control group (wore YiYouNuo® for 40 minutes, but the device was pre-set to a non-operational state, n=25). After a single 40-minute treatment session, the experimental group demonstrated a significantly higher improvement rate in tremor scores compared to the control group (38.2% vs. 8.6%, P<0.001). The experimental group also showed significantly greater improvement rates in straight-line drawing scores (39.5% vs. 5.3%, P<0.001) and handwriting scores (25% vs. 0%, P<0.001). No adverse events were reported throughout the trial.
3Three-Step Treatment Initiation, Fully Integrable into Daily Wear, Continuously Facilitating Early Detection and Intervention for Essential Tremor
From the perspective of usage scenarios, YiyouNuo® offers the following advantages:
First, convenient use.Yiyou Nuo® supports flexible treatment across various scenarios, such as important occasions like dining, signing documents, job interviews, and receiving guests. By initiating treatment 40 minutes in advance, it helps patients more easily perform key tasks such as eating, writing, and engaging in social interactions.
2. Precise AdaptationYiyou Nuo® incorporates a built-in tremor phase analysis algorithm. By leveraging AI algorithms to analyze the type and amplitude of tremors in each patient, it generates personalized stimulation patterns based on each patient’s unique tremor frequency, thereby achieving therapeutic effects in alleviating and controlling symptoms. Patient feedback indicates that after continuous use of Yiyou Nuo® for a certain period, satisfactory efficacy can be maintained even with reduced daily usage frequency. However, it should be noted that therapeutic outcomes vary among individuals, and the device should be used in accordance with medical advice.
Third, it is safe and convenient. The device is simple to operate; patients need only wear it on their wrist, allowing them to move freely during treatment. According to feedback from clinical users, the wristband-style Eyounuo® seamlessly integrates into daily wear. As tremor symptoms are alleviated, patients regain certain activities of daily living, thereby improving their quality of life and willingness to engage in social interactions.
Yi Younuo®The approval of the wearable low-frequency therapeutic device fills a gap in China’s field of non-invasive neuromodulation treatment equipment. In the future, Eke Medical will continue to facilitate the early detection and intervention of essential tremor, slow disease progression, and safeguard a high quality of life for patients with tremor.
