Currently, the uneven distribution of medical resources in China and the significant shortage of family doctors have created vast development opportunities for AI in healthcare. With the rapid advancement of large model technologies, particularly reasoning-based large models, the healthcare industry has become one of the primary application scenarios for next-generation AI. Top-level design across four key sectors—"AI + Healthcare Service Management," "Primary Public Health Services," "Health Industry Development," and "Medical Education and Research"—has provided a clear pathway for the integration of large model technologies into new healthcare infrastructure. Nevertheless, this revolution faces challenges. Issues such as the diversity of medical applications, data privacy protection, the interpretability of model decisions, and legal gaps in liability determination still need to be gradually addressed as the field evolves.
With the mission of exploring how to apply the latest AI technologies to the healthcare industry, this session of “VCBeat Open Class” has invitedJi Yongnan, Director of Healthcare Industry Applications, NVIDIA China、Zhang Chao, CEO of Beijing Zuoyi Technology Co., Ltd., bringing"Large Models Drive the Upgrade of New Healthcare Infrastructure: How to Bridge the 'Hospital + Home' Dual Scenarios?"topic sharing, which will interpret for everyone from multiple dimensions how to bring cutting-edge large model technologies such as multi-agent collaboration into the healthcare industry.

Dr. Ji Yongnan, Director of Healthcare Industry Applications at NVIDIA China, is responsible for the implementation of NVIDIA’s technology platform within China’s healthcare and medical sectors. Prior to joining NVIDIA, he worked on the research, development, and deployment of AI algorithms and applications at companies and institutions including Tencent, GE Healthcare, Toshiba Medical Systems, and Samsung Research. Dr. Ji earned his degree in Computer Science from the University of Nottingham in the UK. He is an expert in medical imaging and artificial intelligence applications, with dozens of academic papers and core patents to his name, spanning interdisciplinary fields such as medical imaging and AI-driven image analysis.

Zhang Chao holds a master’s degree in Computational Mathematics from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China. He previously served as a Research Assistant at the School of Computing, National University of Singapore, and was the Head of NLP Knowledge Mining and a Knowledge Graph Expert at Baidu. With significant academic achievements in the field of Natural Language Processing (NLP), Zhang has published multiple high-quality papers as the first author and secured several patents as the primary inventor. In 2015, he founded Beijing Zuoyi Technology Co., Ltd., leading his team to integrate cutting-edge AI technologies—including large language models, knowledge graphs, and conversational interfaces—with medical practice. By developing a reasoning and decision-making engine tailored to the needs of patients and physicians, the company has created a leading all-in-one AI doctor solution in China. Currently, its entrepreneurial outcomes have been adopted by more than 200 Grade III Class A hospitals, including over 40 of the top 100 hospitals in the country.
