In recent years, GCT drugs have been steadily advancing from "frontier exploration" to "mature application," having withstood repeated trials and tribulations.

In the transition from laboratory research to industrialization, VectorBuilder has promoted the industrial-scale production of gene delivery by developing customized platforms; “Bay Gravity” targets the translational challenges between the lab and production lines by building a R&D platform for cell therapy manufacturing processes; Origin Gene focuses on continuously optimizing and upgrading its services in the fields of viral vectors, mRNA therapies, and iPSCs; Xingcheng Biotech continually enhances its services by optimizing its unique chromatography-free plasmid process.

Collaborations across the industry chain are emerging one after another: Inno Immune and Obio Technology have entered into a strategic partnership for the development of TCR-T cell therapies; Sanqi Biotech and Yixin are jointly developing multi-organ-on-a-chip products; BST02 Injection, developed by Baiji Biologics as the world’s first tumor-infiltrating lymphocyte (TIL) product targeting liver cancer, has achieved encouraging progress in its Phase I clinical trial; Shuimu Xingchen has successfully established 11 self-developed pipelines over four years; and Huayuan Regenerative Medicine is dedicated to the development of implantable bio-artificial organs.

At the capital level, amidst the current industry cycle fraught with uncertainties, investors and R&D practitioners should focus more on projects with a solid scientific foundation, steadily advancing clinical validation. Investment institutions are also shifting from “financial investment” to “ecosystem empowerment,” helping companies cross the “valley of death” through resource integration.

On Friday, May 30, from 13:30 to 17:00, the “CSGCT Campus Tour – Shenzhen Stop” event will be grandly launched at Shenzhen Guangming · Bay Youyinli (Guangming Biomedical Innovation Center).. This event was organized byOrganized by CSGCT (China Society for Cell and Gene Therapy), HIEA, and Bay Area Gravity; Co-organized by Xingcheng Biotech and VectorBuilder. The event will build on the in-depth topics from the Guangzhou stop, focusing on Shenzhen’s industrial characteristics. It will bring together industry pioneers—including supply chain enterprises, CGT sponsor companies, CXO firms, and seasoned investors—to address core pain points such as quality assurance challenges, ecosystem co-development, and capital empowerment through practical, hands-on experience.
