June 25, 2025,The 3rd Russia-China Traditional Chinese Medicine Cooperation ForumIt will be held in Shanghai during the CPhI China exhibition. As a major event in the pharmaceutical industry, this forum has received strong support from the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and will serve as an important platform for developing strategic partnerships between Russia and China in the fields of pharmaceuticals and biotechnology.

As Dmitry Sharov, CEO of OCT, stated in an interview with Forbes magazine: “The core objective of the Russia-China Traditional Chinese Medicine Cooperation Forum is to promote the deepening and development of strategic partnerships between the two countries in the pharmaceutical sector. Currently, Russian companies have demonstrated strong interest in the development trends of the Chinese market, while Chinese pharmaceutical manufacturers are actively seeking opportunities to register their drugs in Russia and within the Eurasian Economic Union region. For our company, the forum is undoubtedly a highly practical platform that helps us identify like-minded partners, further strengthen mutual cooperation, and deeply engage in pharmaceutical projects with broad prospects.”

In 2025, the Russia-China Traditional Chinese Medicine Cooperation Forum will see a significant expansion in scale. In addition to the thematic forums held in previous editions, this year’s event will feature a specially curated closed-door business meeting bringing together representatives from various organizations. The closed-door format will establish a more private and efficient communication bridge, creating unique opportunities for forging business connections and identifying potential partners.

This forum will focus on the key issue of regulatory coordination and strive to increase the participation rate of Chinese representatives. Experts from the following Chinese institutions are expected to attend: the Chinese Pharmacopoeia Commission (ChPC), the Chinese Pharmaceutical Association, the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Medicines and Health Products (CCCMHPIE), the Sino-Russian Standardization Center, and the Healthcare Technology Transfer Center. The Russian delegation is equally robust, comprising officials from the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, as well as relevant personnel from the Department of Technical Regulation and Accreditation of the Eurasian Economic Commission. Additionally, representatives from enterprises in both China and Russia will join this significant event.
