VCBeat learned that recently, Intellizon closed its nearly 100 million-yuan Pre-A round financing. The round was led by Noyu Capital and Well Lead Medical, with participation from Chuchang Fund and Oak & Acorn Capital. Existing investors Proxima Capital and Suzhou Capital Group Angel FOF continued to increase their stakes, while Swap Capital acted as the exclusive financial advisor for this financing. Proceeds from the financing will be mainly used to advance the industrial application of the company’s full-stack technologies for implantable bidirectional brain-computer interfaces, accelerate mass production and clinical advancement of brain-spine interface products, expand diverse application scenarios based on its proprietary BCI technology platform, and further boost the commercialization of its already approved and marketed products.

Intellizon was established in March 2024 in the Huqiu District of Suzhou. The company focuses on major brain diseases and is committed to the development of implantable bidirectional brain-computer interfaces. It has already formed a full-stack core technology, including chips, sensors, packaging, and algorithms. With the "implantable high-throughput bidirectional brain-computer interface" as its platform, the company is developing various clinical application scenarios for brain-computer interfaces. Among them, the "Brain-Spine Interface" has entered the clinical application stage: This product collects brain motor intention signals, bypasses the damaged area to directly stimulate spinal cord nerves, assists in restoring muscle control signals, and achieves motor function reconstruction, thereby helping patients with spinal cord injury and paraplegia to control their legs with their own consciousness and regain the ability to stand and walk.

The company has now completed the R&D of the "Brain-Spine Interface" and entered the mass production stage; finished full implantation animal experiments and verified the surgical procedure and effects. Clinical research has been initiated in multiple centers in China, with the hope of obtaining a Class III medical device registration certificate by 2028 to help 3.74 million spinal cord injury patients walk again on their own legs.

Other clinical application scenarios of this product platform will also carry out clinical research trials successively, including speech decoding, post-stroke hemiplegia sequelae, epilepsy multi-brain region closed-loop regulation, depression andALS.

Intellizon's" NeuroPulse Portable Four-Channel Electrical Stimulation Therapy Device" has obtained medical device registration certification and is now on the market for sale. Sales are growing steadily with favorable market feedback, which validates the team’s full commercial closed-loop capabilities covering product selection, R&D, registration, production and sales. Integrated with medium-frequency and low-frequency dual-frequency therapy technologies, the product delivers diversified stimulation solutions via multi-dimensional treatment modes. It is applicable to clinical scenarios across neurology, rehabilitation, pain management, orthopedics and other departments, and can be used for PT, OT, ST as well as bedside treatment. Capable of meeting demands of multiple departments, its flexible one-drive-N expandable design perfectly fits cluster-based procurement and management. The product line will obtain more than six Class II medical device registration certificates successively from 2026 to 2028, including non-invasive brain-computer interface products targeting central and peripheral nervous systems, so as to continuously strengthen market competitiveness.

The company also lays out wearable consumer products and brain-computer interface products, mainly addressing issues such as pain relief, sexual health improvement, sleep regulation, female postpartum rehabilitation and urinary incontinence.
