4) 2024-2025, the companyLaunch Multiple “10,000-Case Breath Test for Lung Cancer Screening” Projects, aiming to provide a disruptive innovation solution for early-stage lung cancer screening by leveraging the precise, non-invasive, rapid, and simple characteristics of breath testing. Through more accurate analysis of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in exhaled breath, it further improves screening accuracy while reducing the harm caused by CT radiation in lung cancer screening. In a cohort study on early-stage lung cancer screening, the breath VOC detection product developed by ChromX Health and the team led by Dean He Jianxing,The AUC for internal validation reached 0.9, successfully identifying 80% of lung cancer cases in real-world screening practice involving 2,055 subjects.

The product’s outstanding performance has been highly commended by Professor He Jianxing, Director of the National Center for Respiratory Medicine: “Exhaled breath testing is simple and rapid to perform, making it well-suited for widespread adoption at primary care levels. Taking the ‘Lung Health Initiative’ in Liwan District, Guangzhou, as an example, using exhaled VOC testing as a preliminary screening tool to identify individuals at high risk for lung cancer can substantially reduce unnecessary CT screenings.” In light of China’s 150 million individuals with pulmonary nodules, this technology offers a multidimensional, advantageous solution for differentiating benign from malignant nodules and for early lung cancer screening.
