Recently, Meituan Medicine and Health has officially entered into a strategic partnership with Jinshan Hospital Affiliated to Fudan University. The two parties will jointly build a new “Internet + Healthcare” ecosystem to promote the digital transformation of public healthcare services. This collaboration focuses on areas such as health check-ups, home-based nursing care, traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), and medical aesthetics. By establishing an integrated online-to-offline one-stop healthcare service platform for Jinshan Hospital, the partnership aims to enhance the medical experience for residents.

Currently, user demand for physical examination services at public hospitals on the Meituan platform has grown significantly. Data shows that related search volumes increased by nearly 60% month-over-month in late July, reflecting the public’s urgent need for convenient and transparent medical services. To break down information barriers and facilitate a transition from “passive patient reception” to “proactive service delivery,” Jinshan Hospital will officially launch its physical examination services on the Meituan and Dianping platforms in August. At that time, residents will be able to make online appointments and compare and select service packages, thereby substantially improving healthcare efficiency.
In the field of in-home nursing care, both parties will join forces to address industry pain points. To tackle issues such as insufficient standardization and limited accessibility, Meituan Medicine and Health will collaborate with regional core institutions, including Jinshan Hospital, to explore a standardized system for “Internet + Nursing Services.” Jinshan Hospital will lead the development of service standards for various nursing procedures, while Meituan will leverage its traffic from life-service scenarios to precisely recommend institutions and service access points to users, thereby making in-home nursing care safer and more accessible.
Digital operations are reshaping traditional healthcare models. Yang Zhen, Executive Dean of Jinshan Hospital Affiliated to Fudan University, stated, “The collaboration with Meituan Medicine and Health holds profound significance for the innovation of hospital services. Meituan’s vast user base and precise matching capabilities can help hospitals reach new patient demographics. By implementing a closed-loop service model of ‘online appointment–offline experience,’ hospitals can attract users accustomed to online consumption, thereby fully unleashing the value of public healthcare.”
It was revealed that future collaboration between the two parties will extend to medical and health services in specialized departments such as Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), medical aesthetics, and rehabilitation, thereby enhancing the service efficiency of Jinshan Hospital’s specialty departments. “We hope to leverage our digital advantages to help public medical institutions expand their online channels, enabling residents to access high-quality public medical and health services nearby,” said Xu Rongcong, Head of Comprehensive Medical Services at Meituan Medicine and Health. He noted that this year marks a period of rapid progress for Meituan in facilitating the online transition of services provided by public medical institutions. The company plans to draw on its experience and expand its reach to more public and primary care medical institutions, thereby improving the accessibility of high-quality medical services.
