On September 25, the unveiling ceremony for the Beijing Drug and Medical Device Innovation Service Station (Haidian) was successfully held in Haidian District, marking the official establishment of the service station on Zhongguancun Entrepreneurship Street in Haidian District. Zhang Ge, Secretary of the Haidian District Committee of the Communist Party of China, and Sun Liguang, Member of the Party Leadership Group of the Beijing Municipal Administration for Market Regulation and Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of the Beijing Medical Products Administration, jointly unveiled the plaque for the Beijing Drug and Medical Device Innovation Service Station (Haidian). Cao Wei, Director of the Beijing Medical Products Administration; Wang Houting, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director; and Yue Li, Member of the Standing Committee of the Haidian District Committee of the Communist Party of China and Executive Deputy District Mayor of Haidian District, attended the event. The ceremony was hosted by Lin Hang, Deputy District Mayor of Haidian District. A total of 100 attendees from universities and research institutes, medical institutions, industry enterprises, and media outlets gathered to witness the official launch of this new service platform for the pharmaceutical and health industries.

Construction and Operation of Haidian StationIn deep implementation of the requirements set forth in the “Several Measures of Beijing Municipality to Support the High-Quality Development of Innovative Pharmaceuticals (2025),” we focus on addressing the “pain points” and “bottlenecks” in the research, development, and commercialization of innovative drugs and medical devices. By providing full-chain services—including policy consultation, technical guidance, and regulatory approval liaison—we have successfully been selected as one of the units undertaking the “Open Competition Mechanism” pilot projects within the National Independent Innovation Demonstration Zone. From policy implementation to closed-loop service delivery, and from inclusion in the pilot program to prioritized advancement, every strategic step taken by the Haidian Station is closely aligned with industry needs and targeted at key developmental priorities. Moving forward, it will continue to serve as a crucial catalyst for the transformative breakthroughs of innovative drugs and medical devices, thereby sustaining the vibrant innovation momentum of Beijing’s pharmaceutical industry.
As one of the four core hubs for the pharmaceutical and health industries in Beijing, Haidian District is home to more than 700 pharmaceutical and healthcare companies, including 20 listed enterprises.
