Innovative Drug Developer
On September 26, Jacobio Pharmaceuticals announced that Dr. Wang Yinxiang, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer, along with parties acting in concert, had cumulatively increased their holdings in the company’s shares by 11.0587 million shares, with a total investment of approximately HK$96.34 million.
Jacobio Pharmaceuticals continues to focus on its two core R&D pillars: KRAS and iADC. In the KRAS pathway, the KRAS G12C inhibitor garsorasib received approval from the National Medical Products Administration in May 2025 for second-line monotherapy treatment of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) with KRAS G12C mutations, and was successfully launched in China. Meanwhile, garsorasib is being developed in combination with an SHP2 inhibitor for first-line NSCLC indications.
In addition to its marketed products, another core project, the pan-KRAS inhibitor JAB-23E73, has also made progress. During the Phase I dose-escalation stage, multiple confirmed partial response (PR) cases have been observed, demonstrating favorable safety and expected pharmacokinetic profiles. Jacobio plans to announce the Phase I data in the first half of 2026, which will be a key milestone in the global pan-KRAS landscape. Meanwhile, the development of second-generation KRAS inhibitors is actively advancing. The EGFR-KRAS G12D tADC project, using EGFR as the “warhead” and a KRAS G12D inhibitor as the “payload,” aims to achieve precise and highly efficient treatment. This project is expected to submit an Investigational New Drug (IND) application in the second half of 2026.
In another R&D track, the iADC field, Jacobio is developing JAB-BX467, an innovative iADC drug with a STING agonist as its payload. By converting “cold” tumors into “hot” ones, this program offers a novel therapeutic approach for solid tumors that are poorly responsive to PD-1 monotherapy. Currently in the preclinical stage, the project is expected to submit an Investigational New Drug (IND) application in the second half of 2026.
