Stem cell research is reshaping the boundaries of life sciences with breakthrough progress, opening up new avenues for human health. In 2025, China’s first stem cell therapeutic drug was successfully launched, a milestone that marks the entry of China’s clinical translation and application of stem cells into a new era. Meanwhile, the industry is placing greater emphasis on research into quality standards for stem cell drugs and the development of quality control systems. Currently, various provinces and municipalities across China are actively introducing policies to foster the growth of the stem cell industry. Chongqing is also continuously refining its “416” scientific and technological innovation layout, accelerating the creation of a highland for life and health sci-tech innovation, with stem cells being one of the core fields. Leveraging the strategic opportunity presented by the establishment of the Southwest Branch of the Center for Drug and Medical Device Evaluation and Inspection under the National Medical Products Administration in Chongqing, Jinfeng Laboratory will focus on quality control and assessment of stem cell drugs, relying on its abundant expert and clinical resources, solid scientific research foundation, and high-level sci-tech innovation platforms.Empowering the Construction of “Basic Research–Clinical Validation–‘Quality’ Manufacturing Application””full-chain stem cell industry ecosystem, striving to become a “strong magnetic field” for the development of the stem cell industry.
Driven by the Stem Cell Biology Branch of the Chinese Society for Cell Biology, the Chongqing Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, and the Administrative Committee of Chongqing High-tech Zone in Western Science City, and coinciding with the 15th Annual Meeting of the Chinese Society for Stem Cells (October 9–12, 2025) held in Chongqing, the 2nd Jinfeng Stem Cell Forum and the Conference on Translational Research and Industrial Development of Stem Cells will grandly open at the Chongqing Science Hall from October 9 to 10, 2025. Centered on the theme “Prioritizing Quality Standards to Promote High-Quality Development of the Stem Cell Industry,” this conference will bring together stakeholders from government, industry, academia, research, legal, and investment sectors to jointly explore pathways for establishing stem cell quality standards and discuss a new future for the high-quality development of translational applications in the industry.
