Health Brand Commercialization Platform
On October 23, 2025, Baheal Medical (301015.SZ) signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Peking University International Hospital to jointly establish a Precision Radiotherapy Center. Set to be launched at Peking University International Hospital, the center will leverage the ZAP-X Mars Rover Radiosurgery Robot (hereinafter referred to as “ZAP-X”) operated by Baheal Medical to build a high-level radiotherapy platform centered on the specialized treatment of brain tumors. By optimizing scenarios for precise radiotherapy of brain tumors, the platform aims to provide innovative radiotherapy solutions for millions of brain tumor patients.
Signing Ceremony
Brain tumors represent a global therapeutic challenge. Even when traditional surgical intervention successfully resects the tumor, it inevitably causes secondary injuries such as nerve damage or cerebral edema. Most pharmacological agents fail to achieve therapeutic efficacy due to their inability to cross the blood-brain barrier. In recent years, the incidence of brain tumors has continued to rise, with a particularly significant increase in brain metastases. Globally, there were approximately 20 million new cancer cases in 2022.1, 20%-40%2Malignant tumors may develop brain metastases during the course of the disease; in China, the annual number of new cases of brain metastases alone exceeds 1.5 million.
The radiotherapy center established through this collaboration will introduce ZAP-X, hailed as a “revolutionary” technology in the field of cranial radiotherapy, which can significantly enhance the precision and safety of brain tumor radiotherapy. Leveraging its globally unique dual-gantry spherical structure, ZAP-X delivers X-rays from thousands of non-coplanar angles to the tumor target area, effectively eradicating tumors while providing robust protection for the surrounding healthy brain tissue. The system also incorporates innovative technologies such as sub-millimeter isocenter accuracy and real-time dual monitoring of dose and imaging, offering multiple safeguards for precise and safe radiotherapy. Capitalizing on its advantages in precise radiotherapy for brain tumors, ZAP-X has been approved for market entry in 24 countries and regions worldwide, with over 5,000 clinical treatments completed to date.
At the ceremony, Zhu Yougang, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Peking University Healthcare Group, stated that this strategic partnership not only marks a new starting point for both parties but also represents a forward-looking practice in the innovation of medical services and industrialization exploration. As the flagship of Ping An Group’s future offline development, Peking University International Hospital is a key focus of the group’s strategic investment. Looking ahead, both parties aim to leverage this collaboration as a breakthrough to jointly build domestic leading diagnostic and therapeutic capabilities in the field of oncology, particularly in the treatment of brain tumors. Furthermore, they hope to seize this opportunity to initiate new collaborations in more critical areas, co-creating a healthcare model characterized by technological leadership, service excellence, and superior patient experience, thereby advancing the cause of medical and health care through mutual development.
Fu Gang, Chairman of Baheal Medical, stated that the collaboration with Peking University International Hospital marks a significant step for Baheal Medical in promoting the clinical deployment of high-end radiotherapy equipment and improving access to quality medical resources. It also represents a concrete practice by Baheal to optimize healthcare scenarios through technological innovation. Baheal Medical has established a full industry chain layout in the field of radiotherapy, covering research and development, production, and operations. In the future, the company will continue to advance the construction of precision radiotherapy centers, apply more advanced radiotherapy equipment in clinical settings, and ensure that technological innovations tangibly benefit more patients in China.
In recent years, Baheal Medical has accelerated its transformation into a technology-driven enterprise. In the field of precision radiotherapy, it has established a comprehensive layout covering all disease scenarios for brain, body, and cardiac radiotherapy, along with a global marketing network for large-scale medical equipment.
In the field of radiotherapy for brain tumors, Baheal Medical introduced ZAP through strategic investment in 2024, accelerating the clinical deployment of its products in the Chinese market and globalized manufacturing, while promoting the clinical application of equipment through the construction of precision radiotherapy centers. In February 2025, ZAP-X officially joined the "Chinese Collaborative Group for Intracranial Metastases," actively participating in the establishment of a standardized diagnosis and treatment system for brain metastases in China. Meanwhile, Baheal’s high-end manufacturing industrialization base located in the Beijing Airport Economic Zone is scheduled to commence operations by the end of 2025, serving as the global production and supply center for ZAP-X and achieving "Made in China, Delivered Globally."
In the field of body radiotherapy, Huake Pioneer, an innovative enterprise incubated by Baheal Group, has independently developed China’s first 4π intelligent robotic radiotherapy system. Featuring the world’s first Q-shaped arm, the system enables 4π full-sphere radiation therapy, significantly enhancing treatment flexibility and precision. The device is currently in the clinical trial phase. In the frontier area of cardiac radiotherapy, Baheal has proactively applied stereotactic radiotherapy technology to the treatment of arrhythmias, paving the way for a novel non-invasive approach to arrhythmia management.
This comprehensive layout of the radiotherapy ecosystem not only validates Baheal Medical’s innovative strength in the field of radiotherapy equipment but also propels Baheal to become a key player in the global arena of precision radiotherapy.
