On December 5, the National Finals of the Nano Industry Technological Innovation Special Competition of the 14th China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition concluded successfully at the Guangdong Greater Bay Area National Nanotechnology Innovation Research Institute (hereinafter referred to as “GNRI”). As a national-level industry event in the field of nanotechnology, the competition gathered 30 high-quality enterprises selected from the preliminary rounds across China. After fierce competition, Guangzhou Dongcha Technology Co., Ltd. won the First Prize in the Growth Category, and Pudao Regenerative Medicine Biotechnology (Guangzhou) Co., Ltd. won the First Prize in the Startup Category.


Embarking on a New Journey: Exploring the Vast Universe of Nanotechnology
This competition is hosted by the Torch High-Tech Industry Development Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the National Center for Nanoscience and Technology, with support from the Department of Science and Technology of Guangdong Province. It is organized by the Guangzhou Institute of Nano-Technology, the National Innovation Center for Nano-Manufacturing Industry, and the Yangtze River Delta Center of the Torch High-Tech Industry Development Center under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

Since the competition’s launch, its distinctive professional positioning and industry influence have attracted numerous enterprises from across China to register. Following rigorous evaluation and fierce competition in the preliminary rounds, 30 outstanding companies emerged and advanced to the National Finals.
At the opening ceremony, Ren Hongxuan, Director of the Technology Transfer Office at the National Center for Nanoscience and Technology, delivered an address. He noted that the global output value of the nanotechnology industry has approached $1.5 trillion, with nanotechnology becoming a cornerstone supporting advancements in AI, semiconductors, and biopharmaceuticals. This year’s competition features 30 outstanding teams competing to demonstrate the power of nanotechnology commercialization. Nanotechnology is igniting the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and the Huangpu District of Guangzhou Development District has become a national hub for the translation of nanotechnology achievements into practical applications, as well as for innovation and entrepreneurship. He wished the competition every success and expressed his expectation that more innovative forces would take root and flourish here.

Wu Yun, Deputy Director of the Guangzhou Development District Science and Technology Innovation Bureau and the Huangpu District Science and Technology Bureau of Guangzhou City, emphasized that Huangpu District attaches great importance to the development of the nanotechnology industry. To this end, Huangpu District has established a support system for the nanotechnology industry and looks forward to welcoming more outstanding teams to settle and take root in Huangpu.

Qin Wei, Executive Dean of the Guangzhou Institute of Nanotechnology (GNT), pointed out that GNT has become a key platform for the commercialization of nanotechnology achievements. He emphasized that nanotechnology is a core interdisciplinary field driving the development of new quality productive forces, and expressed his hope that this competition would promote the industrialization of technologies and help cultivate more high-growth enterprises.

Zhao Qian, Deputy Director of the Guangzhou National Nanotechnology Innovation Institute (GNII), reported on the institute’s construction achievements and highlighted its strengths in technological R&D, platform support, and achievement transformation. She stated that GNII effectively bridges academic research outcomes with industrial demands, emerging as a key force driving the commercialization of nanotechnology achievements and fostering new quality productive forces.


Inspiration Resonates, Co-Creating an Innovative Future
At the event, a series of high-quality thematic training sessions and report releases were held in succession. Industry luminaries and corporate leaders gathered to deliver an intellectual feast for the audience. Tong Jun, Partner at Tian Da Gong He Law Firm, presented on “A Comprehensive Analysis of Legal Practices in the Capitalization of Nanotechnology Industry Enterprises,” outlining equity strategies and legal compliance essentials across the entire lifecycle from startup to IPO, thereby addressing key questions for participating companies on their path to capitalization. Sun Mohan, Partner and Deputy General Manager at Amy, shared insights on “The Full Landscape of Entrepreneurship,” deconstructing core entrepreneurial logic from dimensions such as business model construction and market expansion strategies. Ma Zhaobin, Chief Investment Expert at Amy and Coach for Amy’s Cognition Course, focused on “How to Build Teams Based on Cognitive Logic,” offering fresh perspectives on enterprise talent pipeline development.




Arena Showdown: Unleashing Innovative Strengths
The 30 companies advancing to the national finals span multiple emerging industry sectors, including nanomaterials, biopharmaceuticals, and intelligent manufacturing, with each serving as an innovation pioneer in its respective niche. The competition was divided into two categories—Start-up and Growth—based on the companies’ development stages. Through a format combining pitch presentations and on-site Q&A defenses, the participants engaged in a comprehensive and high-intensity innovation showdown.


The judging panel for this competition brought together a diverse group of experts, including technical specialists, industry leaders, and prominent venture capitalists. They conducted a comprehensive evaluation of the participating projects based on core dimensions such as technological innovation, business model feasibility, market potential, team competency, and financial health. The assessment rigorously examined technical capabilities while placing significant emphasis on commercialization potential.


On the afternoon of December 5, the closing ceremony and awards presentation for the grand finals took place as scheduled, with the competition organizing committee presenting multiple awards.
In the Growth Enterprise Category, Guangzhou Insight Technology Co., Ltd. won the First Prize, Shandong Leize Biotechnology Co., Ltd. won the Second Prize, and Jiyuan Xinghan New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. won the Third Prize. Jiyuan Hongxin Rubber Composite Material Technology Co., Ltd., Gewu Sensing (Shenzhen) Technology Co., Ltd., Beijing Zhongke Natong Electronic Technology Co., Ltd., and Guangdong Shengpeng Technology Co., Ltd. were awarded the Industry Integration Contribution Award, the Most Investment-Worthy Award, the Technology Transfer Pioneer Award, and the Technological Innovation Award, respectively.
In the startup category, Pudao Regenerative Medicine Biotechnology (Guangzhou) Co., Ltd. won the First Prize, Shenzhen Micro-Object Scientific Instrument Co., Ltd. won the Second Prize, and Shenzhen Xinkai Carbon Energy Technology Co., Ltd. won the Third Prize. Beijing Junqing Zhouyuan Technology Co., Ltd., Femtochip (Chengdu) Optoelectronic Technology Co., Ltd., Quanzhou Xinchesu Technology Co., Ltd., and Guangzhou Shengli New Materials Co., Ltd. were awarded the Industry Integration Contribution Award, the Most Investable Value Award, the Technology Transfer Pioneer Award, and the Technological Innovation Award, respectively.

The Nano Industry Technological Innovation Special Competition of the China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, as a national-level platform for innovation and entrepreneurship, has been deeply engaged in the field of nanotechnology for ten years, successfully cultivating a group of enterprises with core competitiveness and injecting strong momentum into industry development.
The support mechanism for this competition has been comprehensively upgraded, offering pre-competition training, resource matchmaking, implementation services, and promotional support. By conducting precise analyses of participating companies, the competition helps them enhance their market competitiveness. Winners of the finals will not only receive cash awards but also benefit from professional mentoring by renowned investment institutions and access to R&D and supply chain resources provided by industry-leading enterprises.
Among them, the Guangzhou Institute of Nanotechnology (GINT) and Guona Intelligent Manufacturing served as key pillars of the competition, playing a critical role. By working closely together and integrating industry resources, they established a comprehensive innovation ecosystem that encompasses specialized funding for achievement commercialization, support from industrial technology platforms, collaborative R&D and application innovation, integrated innovation validation and demonstration, industrial patent analysis and operation, partnership with industry leaders, sci-tech investment and financial services, marketing channel expansion, and policy support for project implementation. This ecosystem provided robust support to help award-winning enterprises overcome the challenges of industrialization. Empowered by this innovation ecosystem, entrepreneurial projects from across China actively participated, while nearly one hundred investment institutions and ecosystem partners offered strong support, jointly promoting the translation and application of nanotechnology achievements and creating a powerful brand effect for innovation and entrepreneurship.

Since the Nano Professional Competition settled in Huangpu, Guangzhou in 2020 and was upgraded to a national-level competition in 2021, the Guangzhou Institute of Nanotechnology (GINT) has hosted the event for consecutive years, attracting more than 1,000 enterprises from over 30 provinces and municipalities across China. The conclusion of the 14th Competition is not an endpoint, but rather a new starting point for the continued convergence of innovative forces in nanotechnology. GINT will continue to position itself as a national-level platform for the commercialization of nanotechnology achievements, deeply cultivating the innovation ecosystem of the nano-industry. We eagerly look forward to welcoming more enterprises and teams with dreams of nanotech innovation to GINT next year, to jointly explore the vast frontiers of nanotechnology, inject new momentum into the development of China’s nano-industry, and write new chapters in the journey of fostering new quality productive forces.
