On January 17, the 2026 JD Health Annual Doctor Gala was grandly held in Beijing. Themed “United for Healing, Moving Toward Innovation,” the event brought together authoritative experts and scholars from top hospitals across China, industry partners, and public welfare representatives. At the event, JD Health unveiled “Zhiyi,” an evidence-based medicine AI product specifically developed for physicians, and jointly launched the “Great Doctors’ Benevolent Action” Physician Public Welfare Initiative with Chinese Philanthropist and other partners.
In his address, Cao Dong, SEC Committee Member of JD.com Group and CEO of JD Health, stated that as a long-term practitioner and steadfast promoter of the development of internet healthcare in China, JD Health has always stood in solidarity with doctors across the country. JD Health’s efforts are dedicated to building a broad ecosystem that serves, inspires, and amplifies the professional value of every physician. Looking ahead, JD Health will continue to collaborate with more doctors to make high-quality medical resources accessible to a wider population and safeguard the health of hundreds of millions of families.
Major Announcement: “Zhiyi” Officially Debuts, Focusing on Enhancing Efficiency in Clinical Practice and Research
As one of the core highlights of this grand event, the launch of the evidence-based medicine AI product “Zhiyi” has drawn significant attention. This product deeply integrates tens of millions of authoritative global medical literature and guidelines, aiming to serve as an “intelligent external brain” for physicians, with a focus on two core scenarios: clinical decision support and academic research. It can rapidly filter and integrate vast amounts of information, directly outputting structured, actionable evidence-based conclusions, thereby significantly enhancing diagnostic and treatment efficiency as well as research quality. “Zhiyi” will be fully integrated into the JD Doctor APP and made accessible to all physicians, regardless of whether they are already registered on the JD Health platform.
Currently, AI technology has become a key engine for JD Health to enhance service efficiency, quality, and accessibility. JD Health has built an industry-leading AI health service matrix. The “Jingyi Qianxun 2.0” large language model has established a mature technical architecture, while the AI doctor “Da Wei” continues to see rising approval ratings. The “AI Jingyi” system has launched over 1,500 expert physician agents, and “JD Zhuoyi,” the industry’s first hospital-wide scenario large model product, has been deployed in multiple hospitals. These technologies are not only applied in intelligent triage and 24-hour follow-ups but also deeply integrated into specialized disease diagnosis, treatment, and medical research. The addition of “Zhiyi” marks a critical leap for JD Health’s AI technology matrix, transitioning from general-purpose services to deep empowerment.
Meanwhile, in the realm of disease-specific large models, JD Health aims to achieve “medical-grade AI” by delving into the industry’s advanced stages. The specialty- and disease-specific large models co-developed with multiple hospitals not only enable deep reasoning across entire workflows and all key elements but also demonstrate real-world applicability and tangible clinical value. Professor Shi Yanjie from Peking University Cancer Hospital presented on-site the “Full-Process Medical Assistance System for Gastrointestinal Tumors,” jointly built with JD Health and centered on Agent and LLM technologies. This system supports diagnostic decision-making, precisely matches patients with clinical trials, and promotes personalized treatment.

Strengthening the Service Foundation: Deepening the "Medical Testing, Diagnosis, and Pharmacy" Closed Loop to Build Personalized "AI + Physical Products + Services" Solutions
The head of JD Health’s internet healthcare business stated that JD Health’s online medical services have now transcended the single category of “online consultations,” establishing a personalized solution that links “AI + physical products + services” and spans the entire continuum of “prevention, screening, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation,” thereby driving the closed-loop service of “medical consultation, testing, diagnosis, and pharmaceuticals” into deeper and broader application scenarios.
Professor Wen Jianmin from Wangjing Hospital of the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences pointed out that, against the backdrop of centralized procurement, JD Health effectively connects patients and physicians with high-quality medicinal materials by leveraging its robust supply chain and digital quality control capabilities, thereby serving as an “important complement and enhancer” of the traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) service ecosystem. Dr. Liu Qiang, Associate Chief Physician in the Department of Orthopedics and Joint Surgery at Peking University People’s Hospital, shared on-site insights into the “Digital Therapeutics for Knee Osteoarthritis” jointly explored with JD Health. Through digital exercise prescriptions, patients receive personalized, dynamically adjusted rehabilitation guidance, with therapeutic outcomes comparable to those reported in authoritative international studies of similar nature.
Meanwhile, JD Health’s collaboration with leading hospitals in China has entered a new paradigm of “ecosystem co-creation.” Wu Yufen, Director of the Outpatient and Emergency Department Office at Shanghai Children’s Medical Center affiliated with Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, shared a typical case: through the “JD Daojia Rapid Testing” service, nurses can perform home sample collection for pediatric patients; test reports are available for online follow-up consultations, and medications can be delivered directly to patients’ homes. Director Wu stated that both parties share aligned values, aiming to extend high-quality pediatric care from “hospital windows” to “family doorsteps.” JD Health has also joined forces with institutions such as Union Hospital affiliated with Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Shandong Mental Health Center, and Peking University People’s Hospital to engage in deep collaboration across telemedicine, smart outpatient services, and health education, jointly building a new collaborative ecosystem.
Furthermore, JD Health has been deeply involved in and led the development of industry standards and consensus, including participation in the formulation of the Expert Consensus on Quality Management Elements for Internet Hospitals. It has cumulatively released standardized diagnosis and treatment pathways for 317 diseases, working alongside the medical community to solidify the foundation of industry quality and provide patients with more consistent and trustworthy diagnostic and therapeutic services. Dr. Yuan Yiming, Chief Physician of the Andrology Department at Peking University First Hospital, and Dr. Zhong Na, Chief Physician of the Addiction Medicine Department at Shanghai Mental Health Center, shared their collaborative achievements with JD Health in establishing specialized clinical guidelines and the expert consensus on stratified management of gaming disorder.
Unleashing the Value of Healthcare Professionals: Conveying the Warmth of Medicine through Innovative Science Popularization and Public Welfare Initiatives
Robust platform capabilities serve not only healthcare providers but, more importantly, patients. JD Health is committed to becoming the preferred platform for physicians’ online practice, leveraging diverse pathways to help doctors transcend temporal and spatial constraints, enhance efficiency, and expand their service reach, ultimately benefiting patients.
In 2025, JD Health advanced the principle of equitable healthcare access through innovative approaches, bringing professional medical knowledge to the general public. Initiatives included launching the “Heart Enigma Art Exhibition,” which integrates art and technology; orchestrating interactive content campaigns focused on specific conditions such as vitiligo and hair loss; and establishing a robust matrix of physician-led live streams. Furthermore, by partnering with top-tier (Grade A tertiary) hospitals across China, JD Health conducted extensive hybrid online-offline patient education and science popularization programs, delivering health services directly to users.
Meanwhile, JD Health is also actively supporting physicians in their charitable endeavors. Ma Hong, Chief Physician of the Department of Psychiatry and Psychology at Peking University Sixth Hospital and initiator of the CAFF Garden Public Welfare Project, shared heartwarming experiences from three consecutive years of collaboration with JD Health, which involved donating equipment and providing support to children of patients with mental disorders. At the event, JD Health, in partnership with China Philanthropist magazine, the China Organ Transplant Development Foundation, the Beijing Aier Public Welfare Foundation, and the Beijing New Sunshine Charity Foundation, officially launched the “Great Physicians, Benevolent Actions” Physician Public Welfare Action Plan. This initiative aims to encourage more doctors to participate in social public welfare services through public welfare research, case collection and dissemination, the establishment of communication platforms, and resource linkage.
At the ceremony, JD Health also grandly presented prestigious awards, including the “Innovation Exploration Award,” “Best AI Application Award,” “Industry Partner Award,” “Hospital Partner Award,” “Most Trusted by Patients Award,” and “JD Good Doctor Award,” paying high tribute to the partners and medical professionals who have worked hand in hand with JD Internet Hospital and made outstanding contributions over the past year. More than 200 distinguished physicians and partner institutions from across China received this annual honor.

From empowering physicians to serving patients, and from technological innovation to collaborative ecosystem building, the 2026 JD Health Annual Physician Gala clearly paints an industry portrait of “Healing Together with One Heart.” In the AI era, healthcare services require greater “warmth.” Leveraging its robust supply chain capabilities, leading healthcare service system, and cutting-edge digital technologies, JD Health is joining hands with physicians across China to drive the transformation of healthcare services from being “disease-centered” to “people’s health-centered.” Moving forward with innovation, we are striving toward a more accessible, higher-quality, and more inclusive healthy future!
