Takeda Appoints Liu Yan as President of Takeda China

On January 30, according to official company information, Takeda Pharmaceutical announced the appointment of Liu Yan as President of Takeda China. In this role, she will be fully responsible for the overall strategy and business development of Takeda China (including the Hong Kong and Macau regions) and will also serve as a member of the Management Committee of the newly established Takeda International Business Unit.

According to reports, Liu Yan has over 15 years of management experience in the pharmaceutical industry. She joined Takeda in 2021, successively serving as Head of Takeda China’s Gastroenterology Business Unit and Head of the Hemophilia and Rare Diseases Business Unit, and assumed the role of Acting President of Takeda China in July 2025.
