On January 30, 2026, PrimeGene announced that it had formally entered into a cooperation agreement with Jumpcan Pharmaceutical Group Co., Ltd. (“Jumpcan”), establishing a strategic partnership for the Class 1 innovative drug pumicitinib nasal spray. Under the terms of the agreement, PrimeGene will receive upfront and research and development milestone payments totaling up to RMB 100 million, while Jumpcan will obtain exclusive commercialization rights for the product in Greater China (including mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan).


This collaboration will further strengthen the company’s pipeline of innovative drugs for immune and inflammatory diseases, accelerate the clinical development, indication expansion, and commercialization of this product, and enable patients to benefit more rapidly from novel, breakthrough therapies.

On Pumicitinib Nasal Spray


Pumicitinib is a self-developed JAK1/2 inhibitor with full intellectual property rights, designed for the treatment of allergic rhinitis. It has the potential to become the world’s first JAKi nasal spray, offering a novel and breakthrough therapeutic option for patients with allergic rhinitis. Following approval by the Center for Drug Evaluation (CDE) of China’s National Medical Products Administration to conduct clinical trials, Pumicitinib nasal spray has completed multiple Phase I/II clinical studies and is currently undergoing Phase III clinical trials.
