Annual sales of the entire semaglutide product portfolio reached DKK 228.288 billion (approximately USD 34.608 billion). Sales of Ozempic, the injectable semaglutide formulation for diabetes management (marketed in China as Nuohetai), amounted to DKK 127.089 billion, while Wegovy, the injectable semaglutide formulation for weight management (marketed in China as Nuohoying), generated DKK 79.106 billion. The oral semaglutide tablet for diabetes management (marketed in China as Nuohexin) recorded sales of DKK 22.093 billion. Following its U.S. launch on January 5, the weekly prescription volume for Wegovy tablets (once-daily oral semaglutide 25 mg) totaled approximately 50,000.
Novo Nordisk has submitted a supplemental New Drug Application (sNDA) to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the 7.2 mg dose of its weight-loss formulation of semaglutide injection. Meanwhile, Novo Nordisk anticipates regulatory decisions on its next-generation therapies, including Mim8 for the treatment of hemophilia and CagriSema for the management of obesity.
