● The Danaher Beacon project is dedicated to conducting systematic research on the expression profiles of emerging tumor biomarkers across various solid tumors.

● This study will utilize Abcam’s high-specificity antibody library (under Danaher), Leica Biosystems’ immunohistochemistry antibody reagents, and the BOND immunohistochemistry platform.

● This study will explore the biological characteristics of tumor targets, providing clinical data to support cancer subtyping and detection strategies.

(March 9, 2026, Beijing) Danaher, a global innovator in science and technology, announced the formal launch of its Danaher Beacon research collaboration with the National Cancer Center/Cancer Hospital, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences. This partnership aims to build databases profiling the expression of multiple biomarkers in the Chinese population, thereby providing more valuable real-world data support for precision oncology diagnostics, companion diagnostics (CDx), and innovative drug development.

In recent years, numerous emerging tumor biomarkers, such as CLDN18.2, TROP2, and B7-H3, have demonstrated significant potential across various solid tumors, with some targeted therapies already entering pivotal clinical trials or receiving initial market approval. However, in the Chinese patient population, there is still a lack of systematic clinical data supporting the baseline expression characteristics of most emerging biomarkers, posing challenges for patient screening and enrollment in innovative drug clinical trials, as well as for the development of companion diagnostic assays.

The Danaher Beacon project focuses on this common industry challenge by conducting systematic research into the tissue expression profiles of emerging tumor biomarkers across various solid tumors, thereby constructing a more reference-worthy local data atlas.

In multi-cancer, multi-target tumor biomarker research, the stability and consistency of detection results are key to research quality. During the implementation of the study, the project will leverage high-quality archived tumor pathology samples from the Cancer Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, combined with Abcam’s (a Danaher company) library of high-specificity antibodies, Leica Biosystems’ immunohistochemistry antibody reagents, and the BOND fully automated immunohistochemistry platform. By applying these mature platform capabilities and antibody resources to real-world research scenarios, the project aims to enhance the consistency and reference value of the research data.
