In the field of women's health, the integrated solution for breast cancer screening, diagnosis, and treatment leverages dual-target molybdenum-rhodium spectral imaging technology to clearly visualize microcalcifications, providing a more powerful tool for the detection of early-stage lesions. By combining contrast-enhanced imaging and tomosynthesis-guided biopsy, this approach establishes an integrated pathway spanning from screening and diagnosis to pre-treatment planning and minimally invasive therapy.
In the field of neurosurgery, GE HealthCare has launched a surgical solution for hypervascular brain tumors. By integrating the Allia IGS 7 (Registration No.: National Medical Device Registration 20243060926) with BK intraoperative ultrasound, this solution provides comprehensive imaging assessment and image guidance throughout the entire procedure for hypervascular brain tumor surgeries. In real-world clinical settings, it is dedicated to providing physicians with real-time, multi-dimensional intraoperative imaging navigation, enabling immediate assessment of tumor vascularity and its relationship with surrounding critical structures. This helps reduce intraoperative bleeding, improve the rate of gross total resection, and minimize damage to adjacent functional areas, setting a new benchmark for precision practice in neurosurgery.
Addressing the increasingly severe burden of neurological diseases in an aging society, GE Healthcare has introduced ultra-high-gradient MRI neuroimaging solutions and an integrated diagnosis and treatment solution for Alzheimer’s disease (AD). Leveraging core equipment such as the SIGNA MAGNUS micro-brain imaging platform (which has officially entered the NMPA’s Special Review Procedure for Innovative Medical Devices) and the Max Apollo+ PET/CT (Registration Certificate No.: Guo Xie Zhu Zhun 20253060942), it establishes an integrated diagnostic and therapeutic pathway spanning early detection, precise diagnosis, and treatment efficacy assessment.
Among these, SIGNA MAGNUS, a dedicated microstructural imaging platform for neurology, features an ultra-high gradient performance design combined with innovative imaging techniques. This enables MRI to visualize neuronal axons at the micron scale, providing a powerful tool for the ultra-early assessment and mechanistic research of neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease (AD) and Parkinson’s disease, while also advancing magnetic resonance imaging toward more specialized and segmented fields. Meanwhile, Max Apollo+ leverages high sensitivity and deep learning–empowered end-to-end capabilities, integrated with a built-in deep brain diagnosis and treatment platform, aiming to provide robust imaging technological support for early screening, early diagnosis, and early treatment.
The deep integration of AI and medical technology is reshaping the landscape of new-quality productive forces in precision medicine. At this year’s CMEF, GE Healthcare showcased a range of innovative achievements featuring deep AI integration across key areas such as precision imaging, precision intervention, intelligent ultrasound, and smart operations. These demonstrations highlighted the leap from device-level intelligence to system-level intelligence, while its integrated precision diagnosis and treatment solutions systematically enhanced diagnostic accuracy, operational efficiency, and accessibility to high-quality medical resources.
The all-new Apex Nexus full-width ultra-high-definition CT, a quantum platform currently under NMPA review and not yet commercially available, is one of the flagship new products showcased at this exhibition. Its True Definition DL ultra-high-definition engine, driven by AI deep learning technology and led in development by the Chinese team, breaks through the limitations of current ultra-high-end CT imaging. It delivers ultra-thin slice images of 0.156 mm, achieves spatial resolution comparable to that of photon-counting CT, and simultaneously enables full-width ultra-high-definition CT imaging with 16 cm detector coverage.
Such innovations can facilitate refined clinical management of cardiovascular diseases. For instance, by providing precise interpretation of plaque structure and morphological details based on CT imaging, they help avoid false-positive judgments of coronary stenosis caused by multiple calcifications, thereby assisting clinicians in formulating more precise and effective treatment plans. For patients undergoing follow-up, these innovations can more accurately visualize the details of coronary vessel walls and stents, helping physicians monitor disease progression.
Allia Celeo Max Zhuque Medical Angiography X-ray System (Zhuque Flagship Angiography System, Registration Certificate No.: National Medical Device Registration 20263060250) is a major new product spearheaded by the GE Healthcare China team for R&D and locally manufactured, hailed as the “aircraft carrier” of carbon-fiber large-bore interventional systems. Featuring a 96 cm ultra-large aperture carbon-fiber gantry combined with AI-driven imaging chain innovations, the Zhuque system delivers high-definition images under ultra-low dose conditions. Leveraging AI-fused navigation technology, it provides intelligent path planning and precise intraoperative guidance during complex procedures (such as PCI, neurointervention, and tumor intervention), further enhancing the efficacy and safety margins of interventional diagnosis and treatment.
In the field of ultrasound, GE Healthcare’s innovative AppAPI technology has enabled the SonoHive AI open platform. By adopting an open and compatible architecture, this platform transforms ultrasound systems from closed to open environments and shifts AI development from isolated, single-function applications to industry-wide co-creation. Healthcare institutions can flexibly integrate, manage, and invoke AI applications from multiple partners on a unified platform, empowering diverse clinical diagnosis and treatment scenarios while significantly enhancing the efficiency and quality of ultrasound diagnostics. During the exhibition, GE Healthcare also announced the joint establishment of the GE Healthcare Ultrasound Open Ecosystem Project, collaborating with leading AI software enterprises and experts to jointly explore pathways for the rapid deployment of ultrasound AI applications.
APM Asset Intelligent Steward · Boundary-Expanding Edition deeply integrates IoT, big data, and AI technologies. Supported by comprehensive upgrades in three core modules—Equipment Protection, Digital Medical Engineering, and IoT-Based Performance Management—it targets key stakeholders such as equipment departments, medical technology departments, and hospital management, facilitating high-quality hospital development and the establishment of smart management systems. The 4C Intelligent Service Center, which enables cross-brand full lifecycle equipment management, combines equipment, services, management, and talent empowerment. It systematically empowers medical institutions at all levels, medical consortia, and primary healthcare facilities, helping them transition from merely “having equipment” to “possessing strong capabilities,” thereby promoting the clinical application of precision medicine outcomes.
The implementation of precision medicine relies on deep collaboration among industry, academia, and research. At this year’s CMEF, GE Healthcare advanced multiple strategic partnerships simultaneously: In collaboration with the Imaging Technology Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, it launched the “Long March in Imaging, Standardization Across China” initiative, jointly released the “Expert Consensus on 64-Slice CT Scanning Standards,” and plans to carry out nationwide promotion and training to promote standardization of imaging scans at primary care levels. Meanwhile, it initiated the project “Expert Consensus on Full-Chain Quality Control Guided by Imaging Homogenization,” aiming to build a comprehensive, intelligent quality control system covering equipment, examination procedures, and image quality assessment, thereby providing technical support for the mutual recognition of imaging results across China.
In the field of Alzheimer’s disease, GE HealthCare and industry partner Beckman Coulter (a key operating company within Danaher’s medical diagnostics platform) are jointly establishing an integrated early diagnosis and treatment pathway that combines “blood-based screening” with “precision imaging.”
As the 15th Five-Year Plan gets underway, the medical and broader health industry is entering a new phase of development characterized by intelligence, integration, and sustainability.
