With China’s economic development and shifts in lifestyle, the prevalence of metabolic disorders such as obesity, diabetes, and chronic kidney disease has surged, with a trend toward affecting younger populations. Therefore, guided by the “Healthy China 2030” Planning Outline, some innovators are beginning to think beyond traditional paradigms in search of optimal solutions for the diagnosis and treatment of metabolic diseases.

In 2026, AstraZeneca will participate in the Taihu Bay Life and Health Future Conference for the sixth consecutive year as a key strategic partner, while concurrently hosting a series of related activities. During the conference, the inaugural “Spark Cup” Forum on Innovation Ecosystem Development for Diagnostic and Therapeutic Transformation, a flagship event, will be held on the afternoon of May 8 at the Wuxi International Conference Center.

Frontier Perspectives from International Academicians: Deconstructing the Technological Convergence of Smart Wearable Devices and Large Medical Models, Exploring New Management Systems for Chronic Diseases, and Unlocking the Future Direction of Digital Chronic Disease Management.

Focusing on diabetes and hypertension, the two most prevalent chronic diseases, this session deconstructs the implementation of cutting-edge clinical technologies and shares experiences in building regional full-cycle management systems. It presents practical insights into city-level smart chronic disease management, outlining an integrated, closed-loop intervention pathway for diabetes that spans early screening and prevention, standardized diagnosis and treatment, and management of severe complications. Additionally, it provides a detailed overview of emerging technologies in hypertension diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring, along with their frontline clinical applications, leveraging technological advancements to enable refined chronic disease management.

# In-Depth Analysis of Chrocare AI’s Underlying Medical Model Capabilities and Application ScenariosThis professional AI-powered clinical decision support system represents the latest achievement of the MMC (National Standardized Metabolic Disease Management Center) framework. The session will feature practical implementation case studies to elaborate on how this AI-assisted diagnosis, treatment, and prediction model—focused on diabetes and its related complications—enhances diagnostic and therapeutic capabilities as well as efficiency at the primary care level.
