Vivatides Therapeutics, an international innovative biopharmaceutical company focused on the research and development of extrahepatic targeted small nucleic acid drugs, has announced the successful completion of an oversubscribed Series A financing round of USD 54 million.

This financing round was co-led by Qiming Venture Partners and a renowned industrial fund, with active participation from Highlight Capital, another renowned investment fund, and TF Capital. The existing shareholder, Apricot Capital, continued to make follow-on investments. The proceeds from this financing round will be primarily used for the iterative optimization of Vivatides Therapeutics' core extrahepatic delivery technology platform, the clinical advancement of multiple pipeline assets, as well as team expansion and the establishment of a global research and development network. As an emerging force in the small nucleic acid field, Vivatides Therapeutics has successfully completed consecutive seed and Series A financing rounds within less than one year of its establishment, demonstrating strong market recognition of the company's technological breakthrough capabilities and high execution efficiency in the extrahepatic small nucleic acid field.

Small nucleic acid drugs, leveraging advantages such as abundant target availability, high specificity, and durable efficacy, are poised to become the third major therapeutic modality following small molecule drugs and antibody drugs. Traditional small nucleic acid drugs, constrained by delivery technologies, have been largely limited to liver-targeted applications. However, the unmet therapeutic needs for extrahepatic tissue-related diseases have long been recognized by the industry as the next-generation technology breakthrough direction. With the emergence of extrahepatic delivery technologies, the indications for small nucleic acid drugs are rapidly expanding from rare diseases to chronic conditions such as hyperlipidemia, hypertension, and oncology, leading to an exponential expansion of the market opportunity.

Since its establishment in 2025, Vivatides Therapeutics has consistently focused on independent innovation and translation of extrahepatic small nucleic acid delivery technologies. Vivatides Therapeutics' international core team is composed of seasoned experts from global small nucleic acid leaders such as Arrowhead, Ionis, Alnylam, and Dicerna, who have previously led the development of multiple extrahepatic pipeline assets and platform establishment. Among the extrahepatic small nucleic acid programs previously led or deeply participated in by team members, several have advanced into clinical development.

Leveraging the technical expertise of its international team, Vivatides Therapeutics has built a differentiated extrahepatic delivery platform with core research and development capabilities in both siRNA and ASO. Key breakthroughs have been achieved in ligand conjugation, delivery efficiency, tissue targeting precision, and safety, with substantial progress already demonstrated in animal studies. Combined with leading capabilities in sequence design and target discovery, these achievements have laid a solid foundation for the rapid parallel advancement and expansion of multiple pipeline assets.
