Last week, Dami shared with readers that Zhou Xiaping, Senior Vice President of Novo Nordisk and President of Greater China, had adjusted the organizational structure, announcing that as of January 1, 2019, Novo Nordisk China would operate with two sales teams: the newly established Emerging Business Unit and the existing Diabetes Care Unit. Gao Kun was promoted to Vice President of the newly formed Emerging Business Unit. The position formerly held by He Weicong in the Diabetes Care Unit has remained vacant since his departure, with the industry closely watching for his successor. Last week, Novo Nordisk announced that the appointment would be revealed soon (see: “Expansion of Operations in China: Major Organizational Restructuring at Novo Nordisk China!”).
