Liu Qian Appointed Vice President of AstraZeneca China, Leading Commercial Strategy and Business Excellence

EO Health, August 23 – Today, Feng Ji, General Manager of AstraZeneca China, announced to employees that Liu Qian will officially assume the role of Vice President of AstraZeneca China and Head of Commercial Strategy and Operational Excellence, based in Shanghai and reporting directly to Feng Ji. On June 1 this year, Yin Min, former General Manager of AstraZeneca Hong Kong and Macau, was reassigned to mainland China to serve as Head of Oncology Business at AstraZeneca China (see MRCLUB’s previous article: “AstraZeneca Confirms New Head of Oncology Business”). This month, Gwenael Meneux, the former Head of Commercial Strategy and Operational Excellence at AstraZeneca China, has been appointed General Manager of AstraZeneca Hong Kong, with Liu Qian set to succeed him on September 3. With over 20 years of extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, Liu Qian embarked on entrepreneurship after resigning from GlaxoSmithKline in 2015, becoming a prominent figure in healthcare internet and pharmaceutical sectors. His return to the pharmaceutical industry marks his rejoining of AstraZeneca, the renowned multinational pharmaceutical company he left a decade ago.
