Weigao Medical Implements Pioneers UDI Implementation with Completion of Full Product Coding and Database Establishment

March 14 (Yiou Health Care News) – WEGO Medical Products Company has completed all technical validation work for the Unique Device Identification (UDI) system of WEGO medical devices (hereinafter referred to as “UDI”). The UDI coding for all products has been finalized, and the WEGO UDI database has been established. As a result, UDI implementation has commenced ahead of schedule, making WEGO Medical Products Company the first in China’s domestic industry to implement UDI management. Reportedly, the UDI system consists of three components: UDI codes, UDI data carriers, and the UDI database. The UDI database comprises product identifiers along with the company’s business license, production license, product registration certificate, and other product-related information. Through the UDI database, users can access all relevant information pertaining to a given product.
