Under the agreement, Merck will provide GenScript with comprehensive 360-degree services in plasmid and viral vector production, covering products and process technologies, facility design consultation, quality system establishment, GMP compliance consulting, and personnel training, to support GenScript’s plasmid and viralCarrierDevelopment of a Production Service Platform and Internationalization Strategy. The two companies will engage in comprehensive cooperation in the areas of plasmid and viral vector quality systems and GMP compliance, process and facility design, and market promotion.

As a CDMO that previously supported Nanjing Legend in completing its clinical trial application filings in the field of cell therapy, GenScript boasts GMP-compliant manufacturing facilities designed and constructed in accordance with cGMP requirements in the United States, Europe, and China, along with a mature process development and quality research platform. The strategic agreement signed between GenScript and Merck aims to comprehensively integrate internal resources to maximize customer benefits, fostering mutual growth and win-win outcomes through long-term strategic collaboration between the two companies.
