Medical and Health Services Network Service Provider
On November 29, Johnson & Johnson’s pharmaceutical subsidiary in China, Xian Janssen Pharmaceutical Ltd., announced the signing of a strategic cooperation agreement with AliHealth. Guided by the policy framework of the “Healthy China 2030” Planning Outline, both parties will leverage their respective strengths to jointly explore patient-centric internet-based healthcare service models.
In this collaboration, Xian Janssen and AliHealth will conduct in-depth exploration of delivering online healthcare services to patients via the internet, including medication information queries, disease consultations, and outpatient appointment scheduling. Furthermore, the two parties will engage in various forms of cooperation in pharmaceutical e-commerce, drug traceability, and smart healthcare. Currently, the therapeutic areas covered by their internet-based services include oncology, immunological diseases, and pulmonary arterial hypertension. This long-term partnership will deliver health services to over 15 million patients in China, with plans to gradually expand coverage to dermatology, anti-allergy treatments, and infectious disease vaccines. This collaboration will enable more patients to enjoy a health management lifestyle characteristic of the “Internet + Healthcare” era without leaving home, improve the efficiency of doctor-patient communication, reduce operational costs, and optimize the allocation of public medical resources.
Asgar Rangoonwala, President of Xian Janssen Pharmaceutical Ltd., stated, “Our collaboration with AliHealth reinforces Xian Janssen’s commitment to the Chinese market. We aim to promote the development of China’s healthcare sector through this new partnership, thereby enhancing access to innovative medicines and meeting patients’ urgent medication needs.”
