Exclusive Disclosure of China Domestic Master Distributors for Imported Medical Devices: Medtronic, Smith & Nephew, Stryker, and More

To date, the Anhui Provincial Medical Products Administration has released 17 batches of lists of enterprises eligible for issuing an additional invoice.

Meanwhile, the “Two-Invoice System” policy for medical consumables in Anhui Province stipulates that for imported medical consumables, only one national general distributor per major category in China may be treated as the manufacturer, thereby allowing the issuance of an additional invoice.

 

The editor has compiled the list of 17 batches of "Domestic General Agents for Imported Medical Devices" currently published in Anhui Province, covering 108 imported medical device companies such as Medtronic, Johnson & Johnson, Smith & Nephew, and Stryker (registeredAgentpersons), with 125 domestic general agents!

 

Among them, there are two general domestic distributors for Medtronic: Medtronic (Shanghai) Management Co., Ltd. and Guoke Hengtai (Beijing) Medical Technology Co., Ltd. Five categories of high-value consumables, namely neurosurgery, cardiopulmonary bypass and blood purification, electrophysiology, pacemakers, artificial heart valves, and tissue fixation systems, remain under the exclusive general domestic distributorship of Medtronic’s registered agent in China, Medtronic (Shanghai). Only orthopedic products have designated Guoke Hengtai as the exclusive general domestic distributor.

 

Johnson & Johnson designated five domestic general distributors, the highest number among imported medical device companies announced this time, including Shanghai Jointown Pharmaceutical Group.Medical DevicesSupply Chain Co., Ltd., Jierun (Shanghai) Medical Technology Co., Ltd., Beijing Shilong Jinglue Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd., Shanghai Taimei Medical Device Co., Ltd., and Jiashi Guorun (Shanghai) Medical Technology Co., Ltd.

 

Sinopharm Shanghai Medical Devices was designated as the domestic general agent by the largest number of companies, totaling three imported medical device enterprises: Stryker (Beijing) Medical Equipment Co., Ltd., RenovoFa (China) Medical Technology Co., Ltd., and Shanghai Kaixier Medical Device Trading Co., Ltd. respectively appointed Sinopharm Shanghai Medical Devices as their domestic general agent for orthopedic implants, artificial heart valves, and consumables for negative pressure wound therapy systems.
