GoodRx, a U.S. prescription drug search application company, recently announced the ranking of the 10 most expensive drugs among those approved for market launch by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in 2018.

Among them, Takhzyro, the first monoclonal antibody drug for hereditary angioedema developed by UK pharmaceutical company Shire, ranked first with an annual cost of $570,000; Tegsedi, developed by US biopharmaceutical company Ionis Pharmaceuticals for the treatment of hereditary transthyretin-mediated amyloidosis, ranked second with an annual cost of $440,000; and Vitrakvi, an anticancer drug jointly developed by Loxo Oncology and Bayer, ranked third with an annual cost of $390,000.
