Chengdu HitGen Drug Discovery Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “HitGen”) recently announced a new drug R&D collaboration with Sun Pharmaceutical Advanced Research Centre (SPARC) of India (Reuters: SPRC.BO, Bloomberg: SPADV IN, National Stock Exchange of India: SPARC, Bombay Stock Exchange: 532870), aiming to discover novel structural compounds targeting SPARC’s areas of interest.Small Molecule Compounds. Under this agreement, HitGen Inc. will fully leverage its advanced technology platform, centered on the design, synthesis, and screening of DNA-encoded libraries (hereinafter referred to as “DEL”), to screen for new lead compounds for SPARC. Pursuant to the agreement, HitGen Inc. will receive an upfront payment and subsequent milestone payments.
