In response to China’s call to encourage pharmaceutical innovation, the newly expanded Thermo Fisher Scientific Clinical Trials (Suzhou) facility will serve the growing demands of the drug R&D supply chain, focusing on providing high-quality primary and secondary packaging solutions for customers and their patients. The facility will help meet the rising clinical trial needs of Chinese customers, provide development resources for emerging biotechnology companies, and accelerate the market launch of new drug candidates.
Following the expansion, the Suzhou facility covers a total area of nearly 7,000 square meters and will provide comprehensive services including product storage, packaging, and distribution. The expansion adds storage capacity for beta-lactam products, 10℃To 20℃storage capacity and facilities and services such as cold-chain storage, and has also expanded the current 15℃To 25℃,2℃Up to 8℃-20℃Temperature-controlled storage area. With a total investment of nearly $4.4 million, the expanded Suzhou facility will become Thermo Fisher Scientific’s largest clinical trial services manufacturing site in the Asia-Pacific region.
