Tokyo, October 8, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Eisai Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Tokyo; CEO: Haruo Naito; hereinafter referred to as “Eisai”) announced that it has received the “33rd Chairman’s Award” from the Institute of Internal Auditors Japan (IIA).
The Institute of Internal Auditors-Japan (IIA-Japan), established in 1957, aims to promote the sound development of Japanese industry and the economy through internal auditing. As the representative organization for internal auditing in Japan, it plays a global leadership role in international auditing.
The “IIA Japan Chairman’s Award” was established in 1987, and this year marks its 33rd edition. The award aims to recognize enterprises and management organizations that have established sound internal audit systems, engaged in long-term, proactive, and continuous internal audit activities, achieved outstanding results, and made contributions to the promotion and development of internal auditing.
Following review by the Review Committee (chaired by Nobuo Hida), Eisai Co., Ltd.’s Internal Audit Department received high commendation for its initiatives in internal audit activities and was accordingly awarded the Eisai Chairman’s Award.
