On October 29, MSD released its Q3 2019 earnings report. Global sales revenue for the first three quarters amounted to $34.972 billion, with Q3 sales revenue reaching $12.4 billion, a year-on-year increase of 15%.
Keytruda’s global sales in the third quarter amounted to $3.07 billion, representing a 62% year-over-year increase, with total sales for the first three quarters of 2019 reaching $7.973 billion. Global sales of Gardasil/Gardasil 9 for the first three quarters reached $3.044 billion.

MSD’s China business generated revenues of $2.368 billion in the first three quarters of 2019, with Q3 sales reaching $898 million, an 84% year-over-year increase, surpassing Japan. Excluding the adverse impact of foreign exchange fluctuations, the year-over-year growth was 90%. This performance was primarily driven by Keytruda and Gardasil/Gardasil 9.
