In May 2019, the shingles vaccine Shingrix was approved in China. However, as GSK planned to launch the product in China only in 2020, its performance in the Chinese market will be reflected in next year’s financial report. In its Q3 quarterly report released this time, GSK stated that the sales growth of Shingrix was primarily driven by the U.S. market. It is estimated that approximately 3 million people in China are affected by shingles each year.
