Recently, Sneuro medical, a leading platform-based enterprise in the field of neuromodulation and brain-computer interface in China, announced the completion of hundreds of millions of RMB in Series C financing. This round of financing was led by Legend Capital, with existing shareholders OrbiMed, BioTrack Capital, and SDIC Unity Capital all participating with over-allotments. The funds raised in this round will be primarily used to accelerate the innovative iteration and global commercialization layout of Sneuro medical's "Ultra-Miniature Neuromodulation Technology Platform" and "Brain-Computer Interface Platform".
The global neuromodulation market is heating up and entering a new phase of rapid development, with sustained capital influx. In 2024, Boston Scientific completed the acquisition of Axonics for USD 3.7 billion; in 2025, it further acquired Nalu Medical, a benchmark company in ultra-miniaturization; and in early 2026, it strategically acquired Valencia Technologies, an innovator in the TNS field, along with its eCoin system. Minimally invasive and miniaturized approaches have become the primary development trends in the next-generation neuromodulation.
Leveraging its profound expertise in core technologies such as chip integration, wireless power transfer, and precision sealing, Sneuro medical has established a more competitive product portfolio across every niche segment involved in the aforementioned acquisitions. Its Tibial Nerve Stimulation (TNS) system features an implant volume of only 0.3cc, which can be implanted via a minimally invasive procedure (0.5cm incision) taking just 15 minutes. This represents a reduction of over 90% compared to similar international products, making it the world's smallest in the field of neuromodulation. Similarly, in the Spinal Cord Stimulation (SCS) field, Sneuro medical's ultra-miniaturized product (M-SCS) is significantly smaller than Nalu Medical, an overseas company renowned for its miniaturization, further consolidating its leading position in global miniaturization technology.
Sneuro medical has established a strong presence in fundamental neuromodulation technologies, including low-power chips, microelectrodes, and algorithms. It is one of the few companies globally that simultaneously possesses three major technology platforms: temporary implants, rechargeable IPGs, and wireless power transfer. This unique "platform-based" innovation engine enables Sneuro medical to continuously and efficiently transform cutting-edge scientific concepts into globally competitive medical products, advancing simultaneously across multiple major disease areas.
Currently, Sneuro medical has built a robust product portfolio:
Implantable Spinal Cord Stimulation (SCS) System: Received NMPA approval for market launch in early 2026, featuring a new-generation multi-waveform combination therapy.
Temporary Peripheral Nerve Stimulation (PNS) System: Currently in the registration submission stage, this system will fill a gap in the Chinese domestic market and, together with the SCS system, provide a comprehensive solution for chronic pain management.
Wireless Ultra-Miniature Neuromodulation Platform: Leveraging its globally leading ultra-miniaturized design, this platform encompasses the Tibial Nerve Stimulation (TNS) system for urinary dysfunction, as well as Micro-SCS and Micro-PNS systems, all demonstrating globally leading clinical trial performance.
Next-Generation Brain-Computer Interface Technology: Building on its solid foundation in neuromodulation, Sneuro medical is developing a closed-loop brain-computer interface system for neurological function reconstruction. This aims to provide a disruptive solution for restoring motor function in patients with severe neurological disorders such as spinal cord injury.
In addition, Sneuro medical will continue to introduce a series of innovative indication therapies, including the Hypoglossal Nerve Stimulation system for Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA), building a comprehensive neuromodulation solution.
