At the award ceremony of the 12th Healthy China Forum (2019), co-hosted by People’s Daily Online and Health Times, Abbott, a global leader in healthcare, was once again honored: The Xience Xpedition 48 drug-eluting coronary stent system, currently the only longest stent marketed in China, was awarded “Top Ten Medical Devices of Healthy China (2019).” This follows last year’s recognition of Abbott’s FreeStyle®Following its strong entry into the “Top 10 Medical Devices of Healthy China (2018),” the FreeStyle Libre continuous glucose monitoring system has once again earned industry recognition for its innovative technological products and services.
The Abbott Xience Xpedition 48 Drug-Eluting Coronary Stent System was approved for marketing in China in August 2019. With a length of 48 mm, it is the longest stent available on the Chinese market. It also holds indications approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for patients with diabetes and for chronic total occlusion (CTO) lesions, being the first globally to receive such approval for CTO.
