WuXi Biologics to Acquire Bayer's Biologics Manufacturing Facility in Leverkusen, Germany

Shanghai, China and Leverkusen, Germany, January 16, 2020 /PRNewswire/ --WuXi Biologics (2269.HK), a globally leading open-access biologics technology platform company, and Bayer today jointly announced the execution of an agreement under which WuXi Biologics will take over the operations of a biologics manufacturing facility in Leverkusen, Germany, purchase the related equipment, and assume the associated long-term lease for the site.

Pursuant to the manufacturing cooperation agreement under negotiation, the facility will be operated by WuXi Biologics.and as Bayer's product Kovaltry^®(Recombinant Anti-Hemophilia Factor) Auxiliary Production Service Provider.Subject to the satisfaction of customary closing conditions, this transaction is expected to be completed within the next few months.Completed; relevant financial details were not disclosed.
