On the 26th, Bristol-Myers Squibb announced the appointment of the head of its immuno-oncology sales team. Zou Wenhui, former head of Sanofi’s CV2 business unit, will join BMS on the 2nd of next month to assume this role.
Earlier this month, news broke that Zou Wenhui would be leaving Sanofi, prompting many Sanofi colleagues to express concern about his next move. Prior to serving as the head of Sanofi’s CV2 business, Zou Wenhui held the position of National Director for Cardiovascular and Nephrology under Sanofi China’s Cardiovascular Therapeutic Area.
Zou Wenhui is also a professional manager who rose from the ranks of frontline sales representatives. He previously held sales roles at Pfizer and Takeda, before joining Sanofi China’s Specialty Care Division, where he was promoted from Regional Sales Manager to Senior Sales Director for Southern China.
Guo Anfeng, former Head of the Immuno-Oncology Sales Team at Bristol-Myers Squibb China, has also been announced for a new role, transferring to become the Head of Immuno-Oncology Sales Strategy.
Additionally, BMS China announced that Tianhong Luo, Head of the Medical Affairs Department for Mainland China and Hong Kong, will leave BMS to pursue external career opportunities. Her last working day will be the 3rd of next month, and her position will be temporarily assumed by Mark Horng, Head of the Medical Affairs Department for BMS China and the Asia Pacific region.
On November 19 last year, the appointment of the General Manager for Bristol-Myers Squibb’s mainland China and Hong Kong region, which had been vacant for five months, was officially confirmed. Chen Siyuan, formerly from GSK China, was appointed to the role (and officially joined Bristol-Myers Squibb on December 2 last year).
On the 21st of the same month, Bristol-Myers Squibb (BMS) announced the formal completion of its acquisition of Celgene. On the same day, BMS China appointed several department heads and announced that multiple senior executives would leave the company by the end of December, including Ling Yuntao, Head of Marketing for Immuno-Oncology Lung Cancer Indications and Strategic Accounts Team; Chris Stijnen, Head of Product Strategy Planning as well as Strategy and Capabilities; and Yang Shuying, Human Resources Director, among others.
