Novartis China Announces Organizational Restructuring with New Business Unit Launch Effective Next Month

On the 25th, Zhang Ying, President of Novartis China, announced an organizational restructuring to employees. This adjustment established a new Primary Care Business Unit and appointed the respective heads for each business unit following the structural changes, effective April 1.

This newly established business unit is formed by integrating the metabolism team from the current Metabolism and Transplantation Business Unit with the Hypertension and Hyperlipidemia Business Unit. Wang Jia, the head of the Metabolism and Transplantation Business Unit, has been appointed as the head of the new business unit.

Following the integration, the transplant team within the Metabolism and Transplantation Division has become an independent Transplantation Division, focusing on business expansion in the transplant field and the subsequent launch of new products. It will be led by Wang Feng, the current head of the Hypertension and Hyperlipidemia Division.

Meanwhile, the county-level teams within the Hypertension and Hyperlipidemia Business Unit were transferred to the Cardiovascular Business Unit, while the community teams were moved to the Commercial and Emerging Markets Business Department.
