Shengshi Tech Enters into Exclusive License and Collaboration Agreement with Yunxuan Pharma for Global Development of a CXCR4 Antagonist

Beike Society (WeChat Official Account ID: iBio4P) reported on April 16 that CGeneTech, which focuses on both internal R&D and external collaborations, recently announced the signing of an exclusive collaboration and licensing agreement with Yunxuan Pharmaceutical. Through this agreement, CGeneTech has obtained the global exclusive rights to develop and commercialize a preclinical-stage chemokine receptor type 4 (CXCR4) antagonist.

CXCR4 belongs to the cytokine receptor family and forms the CXCR4/SDF-1 signaling axis with its natural ligand, stromal cell-derived factor-1 (SDF-1). This axis plays a critical role in the infiltration and metastasis of malignant tumors, the migration and homing of stem cells, immune and inflammatory responses, and HIV infection. According to the most advanced international research, this selective antagonist can be applied in the following therapeutic areas: ① Overcoming brain metastases in malignant tumors; combining with immunotherapy to overcome primary and secondary tumor resistance; combining with anti-angiogenic targeted drugs to reduce the escape of tumor stem cells; and combining with radiotherapy and chemotherapy to reduce tumor recurrence. ② Serving as a small-molecule stem cell mobilizer for first-line consolidation and second-line salvage autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation in patients with multiple myeloma and non-Hodgkin lymphoma. ③ Treating WHIM syndrome, a rare hereditary primary autoimmune disease for which no effective approved therapies currently exist.

It is reported that, in accordance with the terms of the agreement, CGeneTech will provide phased compensation to Yunxuan Pharma through upfront payments, R&D milestone payments, and sales royalties.
