LimaCorporate Announces Successful Completion of First Total Shoulder Replacement Using Smart SPACE 3D Positioner

Following the successful completion of its first case using Smart SPACE Virtual 3D Planner in February, LimaCorporate is proud to announce the successful completion of the first surgery in the United States combining the use of the 3D Virtual Planner and the Glenoid 3D Positioner.

Smart SPACE is Lima Corporate’s digital platform, featuring novel orthopedic technologies and a rich suite of innovative applications capable of transforming the industry landscape. Smart SPACE represents a new environment designed to further facilitate surgeons’ work and enhance the predictability of surgical outcomes, thereby providing greater confidence to clinicians. Smart SPACE is currently available on a limited basis in the United States. The system has been approved for sale in Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. Therefore, plans are in place to further expand its limited release later this year.

The first clinical case using the Smart SPACE 3D Virtual Planner and the 3D Glenoid Positioner was performed by Sheldon Martin of OrthoArizona in Phoenix, Arizona, USA.Shelden Martin) completed by Dr. Martin. Dr. Martin addressed this case using the SMR Reverse Prosthesis, stating, “Due to the patient’s overall condition and the large bone defect, this was a highly challenging case.
